I love that you include all of your thinking process and trying out different things to make it work. Lot's of fiber artist just show the 'nice' parts or the final product, but the making and failing is so important and informative.
Love your style of editing too 💓

Worth a try for sure, it was fun as well (although I forgot to mention it)!

Tunisian crochet is so much fun, when I first heard about it, I decided to just make the tunisian crochet sampler blanket by TL Yarn Crafts, she also has a youtube channel, it turned out so beautiful and I could learn a ton of new stitches with it!

if ur willing to try with a different material, cascade yarn's fixation line has been gamechanger for my crochet pieces. its 98% cotton, 2% spandex and imo is the best yarn for formfitting pieces!!

Your channel has me in a chokehold when I should be sleeping. Watching your videos has become part of my nighttime routine. And is also inspiring me as a fiber artist to make the things that I’ve been so stuck in my comfort zone to make even after crocheting for twenty years.

I feel your pain!!! Curling is a pet hate for me too. I always restart, get frustrated, restart, get even more frustrated but still restart the project. Crazy but I will not give up!!!

      We must persevere!!
And whip out the steamer every now and then haha

I love the attempt here and all the trial and error you did. Just a random suggestion if you're interested in checking it out: while tunisian crochet doesn't have much horizontal stretch, there is a technique by Mode Bespoke called the extended return pass if you still want to add a bit of stretch to the garment. Can't wait to see the rest of your process of figuring out the final form of this dress. If you choose to continue it, that is 😃

10:34 the Armstrong bit made me laugh way too hard.
I've just discovered your channel and have really been enjoying your sense of humour, (and incredible fiber arts projects) but for some reason that joke put me in a full on fit of laughter. The idea of setting one up to relate with what you're saying, only to softly diss them for it. It's almost meanspirited.. but make it wholesome lol

Hi jade! New subscriber here, I love your videos and humor so much..I am hooked on to your channel.
I had a video request can you make a video in detail talking about your learnings crocheting garments, given that the nature of the craft produces bulky less drapey fabric, how can one make sure that putting in that much effort crocheting actually results into a garment that you can wear and is comfortable rather than just a space eater in your wardrobe. I love crocheting but am always wary of the drape and fitting of it
