the prices at goodwill are wild. i bought 10 items of clothing for under $25 at hopethrift today omg. the two piece was really cute though! and as for the leopard print top, i think you could do a thrift flip and sew different buttons that are more suitable.

I thrifted that EXACT SAME Target romper a few months ago !! 😂 I’m a similar size as you, so I had the same fear when I tried it on but it’s really easy to stretch out ☺️ I work retail and wear it all the time with my platform converse or my docs and a wide brimmed black hat or red ribbon scrunchie ❤️

There is this place in PHX just north of the intersection of Northern & I believe 7th ave and it’s literally called “the thrift store” I believe and it looks like a decent sized place!! If you’ve never been, you should check it out! :)

You can just wear that target dress with some biker shorts. Wear it like a tunic! During the winter wear it with leggings, some combat boots and oversized denim jacket! It’s cute! Glad you got it!

Thank you for saying that the reality of thrifting is that there are off/strike-out days. In fact, MOST days are not that interesting. Somehow when people hear about my truly amazing finds they think those are frequent, and all I have to do is go out and find them. Not the case. At ALL. For every mint-in-wrapping Stunt Car Racer for the C64 for £1 or complete Fraggle Rock DVD set for 50 pence, there are ten days where the most interesting thing I find is a random CD.
That black slip, nightie, whatever, is so cute! Even as a lounge around piece!

Y'all since I love basically all that Carrie wears and our styles are similar, I need some advice. I got a camo hoodie dress (actually a long men's hoodie) and some light snakeskin booties today. I'm suprised you don't seem to be keen on tailoring stuff. Usually i can never find higher end jeans at Goodwill that actually fit me around my waist (Levi's, Wrangler, seven, etc), but once i tailor the waist they fit perfect

My favorite item was the striped short dress, so I am glad you got it. maybe wear with leggings in the fall? That long black lingerie piece was nice, I would have paired it with a cropped black sweater. Also loved your yellow bag I've been thinking about getting a yellow purse lately but I am trying not to buy anything I have plenty of, and I have several nice bags already.
If you ever find yourself in Texas, theres a thrift store named “Uptown Cheapskate”. It had mostly name brand stuff for significantly less money!

We dont have any thrift stores where I live but we have a consignment store, value village, frenchys that I like to go to. Sometimes you can find some really good deals. I never have luck at that goodwill either! Def my least favorite goodwill. You should check out the one on 32nd street and Thomas. I almost always have luck there and they usually have a lot of cute dresses/lingerie!

You probably cleaned out the cool stuff from the thrift stores around you and that's why you feel like there is nothing to buy anymore. All the coolest finds are probably in your closet! (When l reached that place recently l decided to stop shopping for a while and shop my closet)
It’s so funny how I’m 5’6” and 99% of things are too short for me but all maxi skirts and dresses are like 5 inches too long for me 🤔
That jumpsuit would totally be super cute if you just added some nice wide lace to the bottom of the legs. It would give you that extra length you need and would look adorable with the striping.

That crawling under bit annoyed the living fuck outta me - as the only changing rooms you need a key to get in - at least in britain are the disabled bathrooms and fitting rooms - which are always being used by healthy people here meaning i have to wait so long for the fitting room that by the time i get in i am too fatigued to try stuff on as my health has got the better of me by then.
