You really did MSC some justice. You showed the beauty of the ship and an honest opinion on the food. I really don’t understand the complaint. MSC have some of the most beautiful ships. The food isn’t great but it’s good. If you’re looking to relax it’s absolutely perfect. It’s definitely great value for a balcony, drink package and WiFi. The coffee and alcoholic drinks were everything. The private island is beautiful. Give it a few more years and it will be perfect.

Kyle, that’s a great decision to enjoy the water slides on the ship for free, and have the whole thing all to yourself!! The island looks so nice. I’m like you, I could explore on the island but I don’t want to spend all day sitting on the beach. In a way, it’s kinda scary that no one (at least from what I see) is on the island with you. The fun vibe is just not there, comparing to perfect day at coco cay. Great reviews on this ship so far. By the way, I think it sucks that they charge you for shrimp 🍤 cocktails. Really impressed by all the visuals and effects at that magic show, that looked like a great one! Cool to see all the different types of private islands too, this one looks a lot more relaxing and spacious with its wide open beaches. I'd love it! I'm more of a wanderer than an excursion guy too, had a blast exploring each port on my Mediterranean cruise a few years ago.
Kyle I’m am such a beach person. Nothing I love more then sitting out all day on a beach and do nothing. This was a beautiful island and something I did not know was part of this cruise line. In fact I new nothing about this cruise ship or company. Thanks for your travels I will definitely be checking out this cruise line and your itinerary. I have to say Kyle , I really think that if I were going to go on a cruise, it would be the same Cruise Line and I would like to go to that same island. I love the Disney cruise videos and I love Royal Caribbean videos but I totally could see myself going on this particular Cruise Line enjoying the Private Island. I understand that there were only eight hundred people on the boat but that would be perfect for me because I can't stand crowds. And the island just seemed more inviting to me then the other ones do.

No, you are not wrong at all. I have sailed with MSC 3 times now and that is exactly the vibe on the ship. That's why I love it so much. I took a try with RC last October and did not enjoy it nearly as much. It was all like one big college party. I love the laid back atmosphere of MSC.
I want to see you do a Key West adventure. Maybe a guest house instead of 'hotel'. History, snorkeling, perhaps a 'glass bottom boat' reef tour.. food...more food, street market for even more food. It's a weekender trip from Orlando.

I've found that weekend cruises are very much less crowded because not all of us live a car drive from a FL cruise port so the vast majority of cruisers take the week cruises, since we have to fly down to the port. I think you should try a Celebrity Edge class ship next because they are very classy and so very different (plus they have solo balcony cabins).

I could definitely see myself perched for a bit at the lighthouse bar though!! I didn't think they did magic shows like that anymore, cool 👍

Kyle, we sailed Meraviglia last month. You HAVE to go Yatch club next time. Totally different experience. A ship within a ship! Out first MSC cruise and we wouldn’t cruise MSC without it now. Did we mention complimentary premium drink package, private lounge, wine paired private dining, and spa access?

Your funny. You live in Florida that is surrounded by beaches. Go to Siesta Key in Sarasota. That is a great beach. Someday you will be a real Floridian and love the beaches.
Just to be clear, the complaints I’ve hear 1. Were very early on years ago when MSC moved some ships to North America and 2. Most of the complaints were more about service not the food.
I think you would of liked the jet skis. I watched a documentary on making Ocean Cay that was pretty inspiring. I'd be soaking up those beaches but yes, they could add some waterslides...
Gorgeous ship, we had cruises booked with MSC but after Covid cancellations we gave up for now. Much as I love a chilled holiday , that ship was a little tooooooo empty for me !
I like light crowds but I would be miserable on a ship that empty and I saw very little to really do. I felt the same way about the Island. I appreciate you venturing in a different direction though so I can see something different. It was definitely a value at what you paid though

Not the ship for me, I like busy with lots of things to do all day. I love that you're trying all the cruise lines though, it helps me find the best ship for me :) Glad you're having such a nice time and the food has been surprisingly good.
i when to ocean cay before and the lagoon is very good but there are platforms you can jump off it in the lagoon and jellyfish live under the platforms and i got stung and there are sand fleas it was the first beach kyle looked at

It just seems so weird seeing no one the ship. Kyle I think your a bit of a hyper person so I could see why you don’t like just sitting or laying in a beach and relaxing. Now I like a mix of both I like a relaxing setting but maybe rent a jet sky or some excursions.

I don't think that transport is just if you have a private cabana. I think it's mostly reserved for Yacht Club members.
