I'm with you Kyle! For those who hate the "nickel and dime extras" need to visit Disney Parks. Talk about outrageous prices to recoup losses from the shutdown. Most of us out of state residents can no longer afford Orlando Parks anymore. Sad, but this MSC ship is much better than others in their fleet. I still have a personal preference for Celebrity Edge Class ships, but that's because I don't do water parks anymore.

I was on the cruise that came in on the 31st. That ship is BEAUTIFUL. This was the perfect time to go since there was only 950 on my sailing. Now the food is ok, just ok but you will find things to eat. People also have to remember MSC is european, so their main focus isn't food. The service was amazing and the staff extremely friendly. What was my first solo cruise, I'm looking foward to my next. Also that chocolate is AMAZING. Happy Sailing.

So glad you had an enjoyable trip and got to try new experiences! The Pina Colada was one of the few things I heard you complain about LOL. You should buys some ducks in bulk and put tags on there with KP info, hide them on ships and ask people to tag you on instagram with the duck's adventures! The big questions - does your new duck squeak when you are tipsy? LOL Good WiFi - on the ship is a HUGE Plus! I still need my Daily Dose of KP even on a cruise :) Thanks for the adventure! We sailed with MSC in Europe and found that all the entertainment was geared towards everyone being able to enjoy regardless of what language you spoke which was likely why the magician didn’t speak. Their ships are very classy and this one looks even better than the one we sailed on which was beautiful. I may have to look at this one next time I cruise in the area. Not sure if they still offer this but what I liked about them was that children under 12 always sail free and if you were a North American passenger water was free in the dining room but for everyone else they had to pay. I guess they are used to paying for water whereas we are not.

From your videos, it looks like MSC is a great cruise line if you want a more relaxing type of vacation experience. Might not have as many activities and entertainment, but lots of beautiful spaces to enjoy and disconnect from how busy life can get. Could be a great option for more expensive international itineraries too!

In my younger days, I once had a bad experiences with a left handed underweight Hispanic female with blue eyes and who displayed an unsteady gait. I always swore to myself that I would never again date a left handed underweight Hispanic female with blue eyes and who displayed an unsteady gait. I have been married to left handed underweight Hispanic female with blue eyes and who displayed an unsteady gait and have been happily married for over 35 years. Moral of the story, Try Spirit and Frontier Airlines again. I understand, stupid analogy. Thanks

It is a beautiful boat. Very pretty on the inside. It is nice that it was not crowded. Maybe your next cruise will be Alaska. Do they take cash? I am glad you had a good cruise. Maybe Celebrity will be next. Have you thought of a day at Cape Canaveral ? Your room on this cruise was really nice. I think this is cruise 4 or 5 since last year. Looking forward to your next video. Enjoy your day/ evening.

Hahaha, you've been assimilated into Cruise life - food, drinks & elevators!! It might just be their business model - keep overall cost low but not have a lot of free food options. Still the cruise looked really nice. I wonder how it is at full capacity? Great idea - a ducky purchased for each cruise, that's a neat collection. I don't gamble either but when I do I go big - I risk $25 dollars 😂🤣

If you’ve been on a lot of cruises then you’ll know. You can’t compare a 3 day partially filled ship to a 7+ day cruise that’s sold out. On a 3 day you might encounter less work snd better food and service. But on a 7+ dsy sold out cruise the pressure is on. So you might have some degradation of services and food. Just keep that in mind.

You think it would be good for a first time cruiser? Group of 8 25-30

  • @azielnik
    @azielnik 2 ปีที่แล้ว

We are experienced cruises, now in our retired senior years, with premium status on MSC, Princess, NCL and some status on Carnival, Celebrity, Holland America and Royal Carib. Recently been on the MSC Grandiosa, Seaside and Seashore, all in Yacht Club which is similar to NCL Haven but way more affordable. MSC gets a bad rap by some, but you need to understand that being new to US market it isn't on equal comparison. First, being a European line catering to a more international audience, entertainment tends to be more visual than language based, so no big production Broadway song and dance shows. Theatre shows tend to be more variety-style and each night will repurpose costumes and numbers. If you just go expecting to enjoy the visuals and don't expect a plot or theme you'll be fine. Other lounge entertainment will vary but tends to be shorter in length. Specialty restaurants and other food is not usually included in the cruise price, which is usually lower than other lines, typical of European practice where you pay for each pat of butter as to American all-you-can eat pricing. Food is very good but portions are not US cruise line supersized but you can always order multiple items if you wish; we have never been denied. We find the staff usually very attentive and friendly but English language skills may contribute to some reported issues, We travel with a group of 4-10 on most cruises and love MSC's newer large ships with Yacht Clubs! But apps and website suck bigtime.

I love MSC.. I have a cruise booked on the MSC Seaside in the fall. I was wondering if they still have the Cirque Did Soleil shows in the back room by the casino for the extra charge? They used to have 2 desperate shows in that room. Also how do you personally do the pre cruise tests because it is a pain in the ass and I keep pushing my cruises back hoping they will get rid of them soon.

So, Pullmantur was the Frontier of cruising. MSC has some wonky issues but they are great if you just want to get on a cruise ship.
You and the crew should try NCL on the Breakaway/+ class. They have the best deck parties...well, except maybe Virgin.
Or take the parents on a Celebrity Edge class.

I sailed MSC out of Venice in 2019. I wouldn’t do that again because as a non smoker the amount of smoking was unbearable. The one evening the main staircase area was a smokey fog. I have heard this is not something that happens on the North American sailings, but it was bad in this European one. The smoking lounges were not separate, so the smoke went everywhere.

I couldn't agree with you more! I've done MSC cruises 3 times - the first in 2014 on the Divina and I was blown away! I sailed on the Meraviglia in early March 2020, right before Covid shut everything down, and again just this past February. It makes me so sad and even angry to hear all the negatives about these gorgeous ships that are such an incredible value for what you get. I've sailed on various lines numerous times each - Carnival, RCCL, Celebrity, HAL, NCL and I have to say MSC ranks right up there at the top of my list of favorites. I've always suspected that the other lines instructed their employees to leave the bad reviews on MSC because they're afraid of the competition, lol. I'll continue to be am MSC cheerleader!

You get what you pay for with Spirit and Frontier. Prone to delays and everything costs extra. That said, if you go into it assuming you may be delayed, you don't mind being assigned a seat, and can get by with a small backpack worth of stuff, the ticket price is sometimes worth it in my book. I wouldn't book multiple layover routes with them but direct to my destination? Sure!

MSC sounds like any food besides the main buffet and MDR is an additional charge?

Why do ppl hate on airlines like spirit or frontier. I find that so corny. I've done both multiple times, never had a problem. Would I recommend them for trips longer than 3 - 4 hours probably not, cuz there are lacks in "comfort". But stop hatin! I find it's much like everything else, ppl think name brands are a status symbol. The worst flight I ever had was on a "name brand" flight, delays and some of the worst turbulence I ever felt. 😆

Looks like a fun time!! Don’t feel pressured to gamble. I hate losing money too. That $20 could have been another 5 shrimp cocktails instead! 🤷‍♀️ personally I’d rather eat!! Can’t wait to hear you final review compared to Royal and Disney!

We are really enjoying this vlog series. It’s very interesting to see what all the different ships and cruise lines have to offer. Thank you!

Wow that's a lot of food!
    And alcohol.
Don't drink all that alcohol to impress us. Hint... Order some as "virgin" and we won't even know.

I have booked a Cruise on the Mereviglia on June 4th. I have watched lots of videos on it and I am convinced I picked the right ship and cruise line. Heres to a great time.

Love the video Kyle. I would love to see you try an NCL cruise. I went on one pre Covid and thought it was one the best cruises I’ve been on.

MSC is really trying hard but when it comes to entertainment, I'm sorry but they're still years away of Royal Caribbean or Norwegian!

We are diamond plus members on royal Caribbean but we don’t like how hard the beds are. How was the mattress on the bed when you were on the Royal ship

FYI - msc has the same items on the evening buffet as are being served in the dining room. The fried calamari in the buffet was YUM!!!

Looks so much fun! 🥳 All I can think of though is how can they run a whole cruise ship with such few guests? They must lose money. Am I the only one thinking that? Lol

don't worry about MSC, because it is the richest cruise line by far, it is part of the family owned MSC shipping group which has made more than 10 billion $ in profit in 2021.

People are just looking to dig on the new kid in Florida based ships. I've been on 3, soon 5 MSC ships. Problem is, it's definitely not RC or Carnival! But that why I like it. It's a more relaxed style of cruising. I almost feel like it's a combination of Celebrity and HAL. Since I'm not a fan of RC and CARNIVAL, I love the ships and the nonchalant ways of MSC. Americans are too used to all the HOOPLA of the mainstay lines of North America. And of course the old adage goes.... you won't know what your missing....

I don’t gamble much but I do enjoy it. I just gamble enough to justify my fun. Like a dinner and movie or gambling that amount if it seems ok to lose it bc I had fun it’s worth it. But I’d never gamble money it would hurt to lose.
    Glad you enjoyed your cruise!

I feel MAIN dining rooms on ships will soon be a thing of the past on all cruise lines. It's how it's headed, and makes sense, cost and waste wise! And that's a good thing because it frees up that space for better things.
