What a cute 🐦 !!! I don't think I've ever seen them before !! Looking lonely alone on the tree ! Poor thing ! The wind was too strong ! It seems like there are so many varieties of animals in Wye valley areas !!! Nice ! Very nice !! 👍💜🥁🎵🐉🎤🎶💞

It's a raptor Spark. A bit like a peregrine Falcon. Lovely birds. I agree that wind was throwing it about a bit. Touch little things. All the best over there. Mark

What a bird. Beautiful, fast and furious in flight. An avian world with intent!

What a wonderful bird to see, Mark. Pretty sure I've never seen one in all my years watching birds, which started when I was 13 (now I'm 21!). Seen plenty of Peregrines along our coastlines, but certainly envious of you spotting this hobby!

Thanks Jeremy. It was an amazing sighting and they still nest there. I was only listening to the fledglings the other day ready for the off again to Africa. Certainly a joy to see. Take care - have a great day. Mark

@@WyeExplorer Great that they still nest there. I wonder if it's the original pair or their descendants nesting there now. Have you tried filming them again?

Great footage. Not so common in my local area but I do see occasional post breeding birds. As I understand they typically remain faithful to traditional nesting sites year on year.

It was a brilliant opportunity Chris. We've observed them again since. And you're right more or less in the same spot. All the best. Mark

Amazing Film Footage of The Hobby, Never seen one before and just learnt that they are capable of catching Swifts and Swallows on the wing, Now that is Impressive, a fine looking Bird to and those Talons Look like they can do a job, Llugg Wye Valley, Reminds me of my first wild camp at Ffynnon Llugwy, Sorry for taking to long to get back to you Mark, I hope you are In Good Health and keeping your spirits up, we are slowly coming out of this Lockdown But dont think I will rush out to wild camp, Probably wait for the Stampede to subside, But I am raring to get out if only for one night, Stay Safe, Les.

They are incredible little birds Les. We were so stoked to see these nesting out on the flats. I've seen them since because they return year on year to catch them birds on the wing. Just looked up Ffynnon Llugwy - North wales. It's more like the source of the Lugg in Radnorshire Wales. Both beautiful. I'm the same - I'm not panicking about wild camping although I was tinkering on the idea this weekend. See how I feel. Any way, many thanks for commenting. It means a lot to me. All the best. Mark
