Watched a video of yours a few months back and it persuaded me to shoot my shot. Started my first tech sales job as an ISR this week. My OTE is so low, $58k~, but I'm willing to ride it out to learn the game. Hopefully within 3-4 years I can double that.
That’s amazing !!!! I’m glad the videos motivated you to take the leap! And I’ll tell you this, it doesn’t have to be that long before you double that! I would focus on crushing it at your current position for about 6-8 months and then start looking for another company that pays you more! If you can show that you hit quota regularly, you can negotiate for a position where OTE is 90, and your base pay is 58k !!! Good luck and please tell me how it goes💪🏽💪🏽
Thank you for making these videos! I trust your videos more than others' cause I am TIRED of being lied to and scammed out of money. I have two stem degrees and can't find a thing. I've been scammed enough so I was hesitant about spending MORE money on a course. You convinced me to try it. I'm clearly a hard worker so if this doesn't work out, yall will see my honest video lol
I’m happy to know you trust my videos 🥹I try to be super honest because I once too have been scammed and it’s not fun at all! I just want people to know this position is a stepping stone to bigger and better things and not a get rich quick scheme… lol Please let me know how it goes and if you need any help with the process I would love to help in anyway I can 💕 good luck !!!
Hi! I love your vibe! I'm Italian and I tried to get into SDR BDR, most of those jobs are in the tech space. I always hit a wall when it comes to my second round of interviews. I think it's an Italian thing but they usually want people who are more techy than myself. I'm taking a codecademy course in cloud computing (high level no code) to bridge the gap. I have a business education, initially I was focusing on digital marketing but I found it quite tedious. SDR BDR is under my radar because my long term goal is to be a business developer manager as I love strategy and partnerships. However, on this side of the world companies are fixated on having a tech background. I was able to get a few interviews with US companies that have subsidiaries in Italy but the Italian channel managers just rejected me, though I was able to pass the initial phone screening with the US recruiters.😢
Thank you for tuning in! And of course! I took the Course Careers technology sales course, here is the link: coursecareers.com/ref/22054/ Also if you have any question about it please let me know, I would love to answer them for you! Good luck and let me know how it goes ☺️
Awesome info! Do you have work 9-5 M-F? Weekends? Trying to understand your average hours you work a week. I know you will say it depends lol but still any numbers would be great!
Of course! All three positions I’ve worked in so far were 9-5 M-F, so 40 hours salaried. And then commission on top of the base pay. To be honest, I have not come across a BDR position that wasn’t that traditional M-F schedule, but I’m sure some companies do it I guess depending on who they are trying to target will determine your work hours. I hope that helped ☺️

Can you do tech sales and cybersecurity at the same time?
The way I see it depending on the company you’re working with, starting with tech sales can allow you to pivot into cyber
