@@techjobtinaI am very excited to do this job when I am older! I am going to be applying to early college this year because I really do not want to fail in life
@@AyoClash That's great. I don't know how old you are but you can start this career at 18. We have 18 and 19 year olds that took the CourseCareers Tech sales training and got entry level jobs paying 75 to 80k. I wish I had started this at 18. 💜
Thank you for being so transparent and the breakdown first time seeing the gross amoutn broked down for the tech sales income. Congrats on leveling up to AE !
I'm transitioning to customer success and seeing your journey is super inspiring to me. When you were transitioning to tech sales, did you also plan your career trajectory right at the beginning? I wish you all the best in your career journey, and I'm taking down notes!
Thank you so much!! Yes. I did plan out where I wanted to go. For me, starting with the end in mind definitely helps me keep my eye on the prize. I wish you much success on the transition to CS. 💜💜💜
I just landed a job through a recruiter at Intuit as a AE. I had one year of door to door tree care appointment setting experience. I’m a little nervous with this role because they didn’t even start me off as a sdr and I don’t have any experience as far as closing a sale. I hope they train me well enough to learn how to full cycle sale.
Congrats on landing a role!! Intuit is a huge company so I'm sure they have a great training program in place to help you ramp up. Seek out the top performers and learn from them. Never stop learning. You'll do great! 💜
2 This is a BLESSING! I've had 2 BDR interviews this week, and I pray to have more lined up next week. Question: how are you prospecting? Does your company have a database with cold prospects or do you go on LinkedIn, etc? Thank you for being super transparent! It helps us all💖
Thank you so much for watching. Prayers up that you land a role soon. 🙏🏿💜 Great question. My company has a database full of cold & warm leads but we are welcome to source our own leads if we want to.
Is daily quota based off how many calls and emails you send or actual appointments you set up? I heard some people work less hours once they hit their quota. Just making sure what it's based on. Thanks
Hey thanks for your question and thanks for watching. I do not get any of the AEs commission. I only get commission for booking the appt and I get that commission whether the AE closes the deal or not. Working tech sales full-time along with another full-time would be tough. My suggestion would be to do something like a Glencoco where you can make your own hours. That would be easier to manage. I did a couple of videos about them.
Probably one of the best and transparent tech sales channel. I’m getting ready to transition from military to tech sales. Do you suggest I learn a CRM or will the company provide the training on a particular one?
Thank you so much and thank you for your service. The company will teach you how to use the CRM but If you want to dabble with one, Hubspot has a free CRM course you can take and get a cert for. They also have a free version of their CRM that you can use.
Hi Tina. I was just curious to know if it's possible from someone who lives in the UK but wants to come and work in the US in tech Sales, is this a possibility? I wonder what coursecareers have to say about it and how some companies go about such a process. Thank You
They offer the course to anyone. I pulled this direct from their site. What if I am not in the US? 5 months ago Updated Everyone is welcome to take our courses. The knowledge you would learn would still be very valuable for landing a position but you will have to apply for positions in your local country after completing the course. There may be companies in the US that hire for remote positions outside of the US but we are not affiliated with any and cannot direct you to any. You would have to research that on your own. Also, we do not know anything about work visas and permits so cannot give any advice pertaining to that.

Exactly! That will put you light years ahead if you do it that way. 💜

The unlimited earning potential was a big draw for me. What concerns you the most about getting into it?
