Wow the fact that this came onto my time line today is crazy. I have a good paying job but I can't take the chaos anymore. I've decided to make plans to leave and go back to school and change careers. I want something to tide me over until next summer. This is perfect and your video is the sign that I needed ❤
You did an exceptional job explaining!!! Good job and we will see you on the next video. / Also, thank you so much for being so vulnerable and transparent. I know that is not easy to do. Be blessed my Sista.
🥺 we can find plenty of videos telling us why and how we should leave the country, but that’s not feasible for most people. what Timothy suggested and you actually executed is way more realistic. wishing you continued peace & success on your own terms!✨
Thank you so much! I appreciate you for watching the video too. It’s just not the right time for me to leave America right now, & that’s ok. Plus, the seclusion Alaska gives me makes me feel like I’m overseas anyway lol.😊
I just saw you video and click on it. Am home sick with bronchitis, I was telling my cousin how I didn’t want to go back to work. I have been watching videos about traveling and working in different places, countries ect. I watched your videos a couple of times because I wanted to understand your moves. Am happy things are looking good for you. I definitely will see what I can find on that website. My biggest concern is where will I stay while working wherever. I will have to continue to pay rent for my daughter in GA and for me wherever I land. You give me hope, thank you again. God bless your plans and opportunities. Be safe in warm😊❤
@@marieP73spark God bless you too🤎 I hope you find what’s best for you, & I hope you get well soon too. CoolWorks offers jobs with housing…you just have to choose that option in your search. Also, look up Stephanie Perry & Libryia Jones…they’ll be some great resources for you.
It's really great to hear your experience. I go back and forth between security and remote work. Sometimes people judge when I'm not working remote/tech but the thing is.... the people in security are 100% more down to earth salt of the earth people who don't go out of their way to screw people over. I can't say the same about many of the jobs I'm suppose to get "accolades" and "acceptance" for. The greed is really something else. I'm glad you found spark for life again by getting away from it. The housing sounds like a sweet deal too!
@@lebossy Thank you! Omg corporate greed is so unethical, that’s ultimately why I left my last job (that everyone thought was a “good” job). I’ve read several articles about professionals leaving their careers to work at Starbucks, retail stores, & security jobs to protect their mental health. I believe we know what’s best for us. It’s important to block outside opinions & believe we’ll be taken care of.
@@jerralatrice It's really sad that the people who tend to have the most warped idea about money already have so much :( It doesn't make sense why they need to squeeze every last ounce out of people just to buy another plane while cutting people's jobs. It's messed up. I've gotten the same ick you talk about. The mental labor where you literally have no energy to enjoy the rest of the day because your mind is so shot is not worth it. You are awesome for choosing what your gut told you!!
Hello there! I have done seasonal work in Alaska before with Princess Cruise. It can be a bit hard to find employee housing with your own room so, you were blessed to have gotten something where you have a room to yourself, especially since this is your first seasonal job in a remote location. I have been going back and forth with myself about doing this again. I have a offer with a gov job in Arizona however, I feel like this video is my sign to go back to Alaska to escape. I do currently work with a agency doing non-clinical work which is another alternative to get free housing if it’s a travel assignment. But I like the option of seasonal work because there is a opportunity to do year round as well. Some of these companies on cool works only offer private housing if you’re in a supervisor or management position. Lake Tahoe is another good seasonal job with Vail resorts but, the housing goes very fast which leaves one to have to find housing on their own and it’s very expensive… Thank you for sharing your journey because we have a lot in common and now I feel at peace on making this decision again.🙏🏾❤
@@Coco-fi4mv Thank you so much for sharing your story. I definitely got blessed with my first seasonal job. No complaints at all. I used to live in Arizona too (Phoenix), & I don’t want to move back. We do have a lot in common! Cheers to you for figuring out your next step, & I’m glad my video was able to help you.🤎
@@celestialarmor695 Here in Alaska, I get paid very well, plus tips. (I believe I addressed this in last week’s video). They probably pay more because not too many people choose to live here lol. *Also, it’s wise not to rely on one source of income anyway…even if you do have a good paying job. I have a side hustle that further sustains me.
