Apparently Topaz have no plans to make a creative AI upscaler for AI generate content for either photo or video, I don't know if this is true. As an owner I really hope they do because I fear it won't be long until the Topaz software is redundant.
The problem I have with video to video ai is the shot to shot consistency. It just isn't there yet and is very difficult to clean up. I haven't tried ltx yet?

Man AI evolves SO FAST and we are still at the beginning. It's stunning but at the same time scary. Where we at in 5 - 10 years from now? The gaming industry will be completely change within the next few years, till the hardware is good enough to run AI with ease on your own PC. There will be several AI engines or just THE ONE/EVERYTHING AI GAME ENGINE and you probably buy prompts for a game insteat of buying an actual game. Or you create your own game based on your own prompt. The future will be insane, it is so crazy.
playing around with some new AI 3d stuff right now! Should have a video up pretty soon on all this stuff. I said it in Nov of last year: Start brushing up on some 3d basics! (And really, all you need is the basics!) Interesting stuff is coming down the pipeline!
i have been using krea for some months now and I love the enhancer tool. it is not afraid to be creative. however, unless the ai can process videos up to 5 minutes long i can't see it overtaking the other video ai software available any time soon

But imagine your company gets to a good point to release an update - and then another company puts something out better than yours. Do you release, or get back to work to increase quality? I feel if someone like Runway or Pika release anything less than what we are seeing now would cause them to pause. Its also a tough crowd out there - anything less than what is expected from any of these companies would cause some harsh feedback. And the Keith Richards reference! haha. I feel if he stops doing drugs he would die. They are definitely keeping him alive, somehow. I need to look into his diet.

I want to make such videos and explore the possibility of using them commercially. I am ok with paid subscriptions if the output is usable in some way in a commercial project.

WOW, Krea done good on this (and remember its the worst its gona be). Would love to try this but at around £47 ($60) its a bit high for me currently when you add in other tools i pay for. May treat myself next month just to try it as it looks great.
Hm I always had issues with any type of upscalers because the quality changes a little too much for my liking (guess I’m a little too a*al about that kinda stuff) but video upscaling might be something good to use if the original generation’s quality can be improved upon, albeit it still being random I guess. Yup! I talked a bit about that in the LTX segment! The difference w/ the Krea version is that the Creative Upscale will "imagine" some new details for you. Some like that, some don't. I've always been a fan, and consider it a "second pass" on images-- but, I also like the fact that you can dial it down if needed.

Topaz is great, but paying for updates is kind of not so great, because it feels like they update every week so you‘re running out of free updates very quickly 😅
I think it’s free now? Or it was for a minute, and now you can use it on the basic plan. Krea’s pricing is always a bit strange…you might want to check it out.

I kind of like that model, but I’m also saying that as someone who has Adobe CS6 somewhere in my house on a bunch of DVDs. Haha.

What if you upscale a video, then run it through the upscale again? Does it get twice as good?

Krea does love adding contrast and HDR effects. I always include "HDR, contrasty" in the negative prompts.

There's a bunch of that halo effect going on with the upscaling, like when you put something though a sharpen tool on Photoshop on too high a strength

It does. I have some more experimenting to do, because those sliders become REAL important at that point, but I can confirm it works.
