I'm sure 2JP would win in the 1st 3 seconds. Unfortunately that "strip" is far longer than that. Where even a guy with a stock can am would pass that car that can only do 1/8 of a mile. Waste of time and money puttin all that into a car thats good for 4 secs at best. Big whoop. 1 trick pony. Those "sand drags" aren't even regulated. Just a bunch of drunkards lining up with no one...started by no one....racing no one. Doing pass after pass for hrs at a time. Idk if you ever been there...but glamis is a joke. 20k people all drinking. All driving around to the same 4 spots. Dune for 20 mins. Arrive at 1 of said 4 places. Sit and watch people for over an hr. Drinking of course. Move on to next place. Repeat. Day after day...people die there regularly. Cars balled up everywhere. I went for Halloween. 2 people killed. I personally watched a lifeflight. Idk if he/she lived. Cars wrecked everywhere. Did the 4 spot tour everyday. The "drags" aren't even that. Just a bunch of idiots going round and round. And a bunch of idiots (me at the time included) pretending to care. Never going back. Had more fun at a dentist appointment.
@@trouserchili6896 your points about drunk behavior at the dunes couldn't be more accurate and I agree you don't crack open alcohol until the machines are put away for the night. That being said, the sxsblog guys are extremely responsible, and also didn't build 2jp to go race legitimately with professional time-keeping etc. These are a group of buddies who gave the youtube thing a shot and found their niche. It's been a dream of Doug's to do something along these lines and they built a truly badass machine. Whether it's right or wrong the machine was mostly just an investment. The amount of traffic that channel has gained because of 2jp isn't even able to be put in numeric form. I might have took your comment the wrong way but just wanted to show these group of buddies aren't doing it simply to win. They're doing it because it's a passion and a dream of theirs and has brought them together with countless people, brands, and opportunities.
