    Here I am two years after your video and thankful to have found this information. So...I just (at the age of 74) have been learning to crochet via the tube of you. My daughter bought me the first ball of this large Bernat to make a blanket for her sister, my youngest daughter. My oldest daughter who is a wonderful crocheter left this up to me! I followed the directions on the label saying to loosely chain 110....ONE HUNDRED AND TEN...uh, wrong! My daughter found the corrections on the Bernat website to loosely chain 29 stitches...after I had chained the 110. You guessed it, it went back into the ball shape and I started all over again. I finished the first ball, just acquired the second one and I thought "how do I join the new end?" I searched and found your tutorial. THANK YOU! *Even if it is two years later, it's a valuable video!!!!

    I'm definitely going to use these technique. It's so much neater than tying a bulky knot. Thanks!

    Just finished a big knit blanket and was wondering how to weave in the end after binding off. So glad I came across your video. I’m definitely going to sew all the yarn joins and the first and last stitches. Thank you!

    Thank you SO much for this tutorial! Bernat Blanket is my absolute favorite yarn to work with, but I've only been using it for amigurumi lately, because, like you said, when making a blanket and try to weave in the ends, they find their way out, and you have little curls of yarn on what's supposed to be your beautiful creation.

    Been following you for years now and always enjoy your videos. I’ve never even seen a yarn that thick let alone used one, I live in rural Australia, the closest decent yarn shop is many hours away. So the internet is marvellous. Your video on foundation stitches was the only one I could follow. I’ve got one of those metal needle threaders with the loop. I’ve had it for ever and ever and it’s great. Simple but effectiveThanks for all you do. ♥️🇦🇺🌈

    Tamara!!! Thank you!! You're a lifesaver!!! I've never worked with this kind of yarn before and I just got an order for a blanket. What an adventure!! This stuff is huge! And the blanket has to be 5" x 6"! I didn't know how to join the next skein so I searched TH-cam. This looks like it will work!!! Thanks so much again!

    Yeah! About 2 years ago, I tried an online yarn made the same way but it was a #5. Everything you've said is true! The only way I could bury the starter strand to the end strand was to sew them into the yarn. Though I've never had to connect the yarn together.

      I learned an old trick years ago. I undo the strands about an inch or so on BOTH sides. Then I weave them into one another... I'm all in to learn a new method by our Tamara!

    I'm trying to figure out how to join Turin yarn. Though it's a lot smaller than this yarn you've used to demo, it's super dense and there's no way I'm going to knot it to join. I'm very glad to have found this video because I'm going to be sewing these ends! Thanks so much!!

      I actually saw someone slightly burn the end with a lighter and then attach it to the new skein. Just tried it and it worked! Seems pretty secure. Hope it stays strong!

    Hi. Great technique.
    Just a question. Are you putting the needle through the center core or just through the yarn in any spot ? Thanks

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to get through the core, but it do try to keep my stitches close to it!

    I need some help with crocheting a double crochet stitch ...thank you in advance! One part of my yarn over in the double crochet is to loose how can I fix tha?! It really is every stitch.

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Kimberly! One thing that can help is to try to keep the loops on your hook closer together, not letting them spread up the hook. :)

    Could you use clear light weight fishing line? I think it would be stronger and practically invisible.

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think so, I would just try it on a scrap first to make sure it doesn't feel odd!

    My yarn is several different strands wrapped together. How do I combine them 16:36

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  ปีที่แล้ว

      For that, I would leave the ends of each loose and then weave them in at the end, separating the strands for weaving!

    Can this work with the bernet blanket yarn that takes 15 mm hook? And is this a good technique? It's for an amigurumi

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven't tried it, but I would think so! Otherwise, with that one you can weave in your ends a bit easier!

    Hello There, I Have A Question To Ask You, Here's My Question, Is There A Way I Can Put 2 Number 6 Baby Yarn Together To Make It Thicker? Just Asking? I'd Really Appreciate It If You Could Reply Back To My Comment Please And Thank You!!!!

    • @mooglyblog
      @mooglyblog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Betty! Yes, you can put any yarns you like together, and just crochet with them as one strand. You will probably want to weave in their ends individually though for extra security!
