I am actually really happy that Nintendo decided to take this out of the official game. There’s no doubt in my mind that this level would’ve scared the living hell out of me as a kid. There’s already certain parts in the official release that made me never to want to finish this game back then. This would’ve definitely given me a nervous breakdown. Watching this at age 30 gives me chills now. Imagine 6yr old me. Jesus!

Imagine your a little kid and your dad got you this game but you didn't know it was pirated. One random morning you wake up and decide to play mario 64. You've been playing for a few days already and are now going to a new stage and suddenly..., you see THIS! Most kids would probably never trust video games OR there parents ever again.

It would be cool if Nintendo made a Mario game with a really strong atmosphere and somewhat mature storyline.
i’ve been hoping for a mario game that explores his family and him as well as luigi meeting with his parents after years. along with more serious plot points and a good story line it could shape up to be one of the best mario games in my opinion if nintendo ever did release something like this
and it'd be cool if it had a chase scene with someone.. not just wario.

@@JermTheSigma Indeed. That was my biggest criticism on that Creepypasta. Everything about it is so terrible. The Creepypasta’s writing is fanfiction-level and so horrible in so many levels. I’ve read better fanfictions that this garbage. Sonic.EXE tries way too hard to be shocking to the audience with its over-the-top edginess such as the overuse of graphic violence at the expense of genuine suspensful moments, which makes everything so laughably cartoonish. It takes everything about it so seriously, only to completely fail horribly. The main characters are downright stupid and makes obviously terrible decisions for no reason because the plot demands them so, while Sonic.EXE himself is just an overpowered Gary Stu as well as a generic doomsday villain who is invincible and always never lose in anything for no reason. There’s absolutely nothing that actually made me scared, instead it’s just completely cringeworthy and laughable. It spawned several shitty video game creepypasta ripoffs back in the day which, none of them were actually any good! All of them sucks in so many level! There’s literally no redeeming qualities about this Creepypasta and its ripoffs. The whole Creepypasta is just an edgy 13-years old’s idea of what being scary is, with lame sequels that makes everything in the original much worse. Seriously, the author of Sonic.EXE cannot take criticism one bit and even goes berserk when his dumpster fire was removed from the Creepypasta wiki due to the aforementioned reasons. He’s literally become the YandereDev of the Creepypasta community.
I’m glad that it’s popularity was quickly declining over the years previously. Everyone quickly forgot about it. It defines the embarassing and cringy early-2010s internet horror and how most of them generally doesn’t age well in today’s standards. Both the Sonic community and everybody in Internet nowadays considered Sonic.EXE to be a huge laughingstock due to it’s quality. I don’t even understand why it’s so popular in the first place, even though there’s nothing redeeming about it!
