I have been listening to TAIM since "Hate" and have always thought about doing some covers. I saw TAIM recently and I was blown away by Jesse Beahlers playing. I had been working on a couple other songs for a new video but after that show I felt inspired to go learn some parts from their album Godlike.

My last few videos I have been recording the kick without triggers. For this one I found a combination of the Shure beta 91a and Shure beta 52a to give a good punch and a deep tone despite the batter head being super tight.

I'm always obsessing over which mics to use and mic placement and mixing of the snare... really hard to beat the sm57 though. I appreciate the snare compliment so much haha.
