I hope you've been listening to their EP Last Days. I've listened to those 3 songs like 100 times haha, that EP goes so hard.

I'm always obsessing over which mics to use and mic placement and mixing of the snare... really hard to beat the sm57 though. I appreciate the snare compliment so much haha.

Thanks dude! I probably have them on a hard drive somewhere. Between all the songs I record for my channel (most of which I don't upload) and all the songs for my band - Silvertone - I have so many sessions filling up hard drives.

I just added that to my covers playlist. That’s a really cool one I haven’t listened to in a long time.

Haha, that one is so sick. Man I listened to that one a lot back in the day. It’s got some long fast kick rolls. I’m working on an album with my band but I’ve got 2 covers I’m working on in spare time.

Haha I sampled my kick and then used triggers with that sample. I actually might try that method again for my next video.

@@zizizmer Ive got some new kick mics so hopefully I can get a little more bottom end in the sample to mess with.

Yeah the snare sounds too rounded out in the mix. In my latest vid I made sure it had a little more crack. I still want more crack though haha.

Maybe they heard the 3/16th delay I forgot to edit haha. I do single takes but I’ve noticed my interface has a tiny bit of latency. I usually just move over the whole session 2-3 16th notes but forget sometimes. Kicks could have been tighter too 😬
