It's being overspun imo. The superchargers already in too high a boost at low RPM's
Supercharger wasn't meant for engine like this. It was probably for a generator engine or something similar that runs at a constant lower rpm.
@@Berm_Blaster There's a guy who has a 730cc Kubota Diesel swapped Honda Insight with this same AMR500 and he's running 10PSI. Doesn't sound nearly like this
@@Berm_Blaster This type of supercharger was literally used on kei cars, it's just most of the ones available online have been "refurbished" in china, pretty sure they were used on some subarus among other cars.

I know this is supposed to be a fun cheap no-brain build, but you should definitely overengineer this thing!! Get a real supercharger, front mount, and everything to make this thing run and ride like a dream ❤❤
My supercharger has a bpv, but it's internal. The valve is open at no-partial throttle...thus bypassing the supercharger rotors. When you give more throttle the more the valve closes forcing air into the supercharger, bringing boost up for the appropriate throttle. Full throttle gives full boost until redline, 75% throttle will give full boost until it hits 5kish runs and slowly opens the bpv bleeding off boost.

Ages ago I did the math for how many maxed out delta fans in a bank would make 1psi of boost, from memory it was somewhere around 8-10

common problem with those Superchargers is the oil in them. u need to put some different hq oil in it for it to work proper and sound proper
If you wanna run something like this on a stock ecu you have to frankenstein your map sensor find one from a factory turbo car that has the same first 5-6 digits of your part number and plug matches then get 150-200cc bigger injectors this may require you to make new spacers
Forgot the fuel pressure regulator either buy aftermarket or you can do the same as with the map sensor but it could be more involved adapting to suit your fuel system so aftermarket is best

Have someone remake the supercharger impellers out of metal and replace them and see what these little chargers are actually capable of
That's funny... I commented the same thing on the last video. I'm sure he has a hook-up at a machine shop somewhere. Metal impellers would probably make it sound less awkward to. I think we're the only 2 to say it so far

I think the next steps are uprated fuel injectors, a 2 bar manifold pressure sensor, a wide band oxygen sensor and as you've mentioned an ECU remap, if it doesn't die first haha,
Maybe the stock fuel injectors from a turbo kei car will be good if you find some that fit
Try putting an inlet oneway fitting where you fill with out and drill out a hole underneath and thread an outlet fitting that way you can circulate the oil to avoid overheating of the unit.
I'd definitely double check the max RPM for the supercharger, I've also seen people put a second throttle body before the supercharger to reduce noise.
the bypass will be tough for the ecu to balance, you need a larger pulley to slow down the SC to a more usable rpm

I got an idea for ya.... reroute the air comming out of the blow off, down into the exhaust. It will create a syphon effect on the exhaust to suck it out of the engine.....be entersting to see the results.
Plum back but not into exhaust. The exhaust gas will just pressurise into inlet. Not good
@@Pete-hy4mq unless the y pipe installed toward the end of the exhaust, then it wil cause a suction.
@@Pinki-77 you plum it back into inlet not exhaust. No matter the set up any restrictions at end the system will build back pressure not to mention heat. Its just not ever done that way

Could Use a clutch pulley off a Toyota supercharger with a hobbs switch or install map sensor before supercharger as its seeing boost at idle and having a stroke.. just a thought. You do need to turn up the duty cycle and frequently on the tig welder tho just test on scrap 1st .
im sure it pcm (powertrain computer mode) for engine aint setup curranty because there is 2 sensor on exhaust and 2 sensor on intake if you bypass intake sensor them yah it going shut itself off because it aint able to read air flow to adjust fuel and air rate so you ended up going back installed intake sensor to fix few issues so dont need to reprogram it (i have done it on few engine inline 4 by putting maf in front of supercharger so pcm can read it) some of my customer bypassed it bought it to me i tell them bring back parts you took off of it they bought it back and i have to installed it set up so not bypassed any sensor and now it run like race car lol

I have to wonder what the afr is on that now, over boosted and no additional fuel sounds like he’ll need a new engine soon. Water spray on the intercooler would help. Maybe even one of those APE kits so he can flex fuel it and run some E in it instead of a link, just a piggy back unit. The link is going to cost more than the van and the motor. A little welding for a cold air intake with a filter that isn’t 6 inches of the ground. It will make a nice little daily but loud, next he’ll be straight piping it. How’s it ever going to pass inspection that loud?

needs more fuel, running too lean on boost. install a wideband and install an additional injector in the inlet manafold
Still needs a bigger diameter pulley, there's too much boost to control right now.
Sam! The input shaft has been turning without gear oil the entire time you are running the engine. Engaged clutch = turning input shaft. Depending on where the shifter forks are, you may have had multiple gearsets turning as well (even in neutral). You may get away with minimal damage because there was no load, but it's not something I would risk. Don't want to see you blow up another gearbox man.

Centrifugal clutch pulley as used in the 4agze faster it spins boist is increased and closed at idle opens at about 3500 rpm roughly from what I remember.

A FuelTech on that car would do amazing for those crazy modifications, to set parameters and it automatically controlling it.

mega loud, i question if there is a muffler at all! tho yes a smaller pulley is definitely going to lower the boost! also reason stuff gets hot, same as a AC, compressed gas gets hotter and decompressed gas gets colder. (so if you compress the gas, cool it then decompress it, you got an AC! but in the engine you got more power due to denser air.)

It's definitely time to get on the abandoned S-15 heck do an engine build or teardown for that car so you have some kind of content on it that will lighten the work load when it is ready to become a non abandoned car again because it although inside somewhere else from the original outdoor salvage spot it's definitely still high on the abandoned listing you were adamant about saving it from. You are letting this great content fall to the wayside Sam!!!... fix this issue.

Is anything from temu ever a good odea? There are plenty of motorcycle engines that could go in there and still keep that thing at kei car spec

bigger fuel pump? boost reference fuel pressure regulator? fuel injectors twice the size as the injectors on the engine? set regulator at half the pressure the OEM system was set to... tho that methanol injector in front of the blower idea, would be a big fire thing if the blow off valve was piped into the exhaust... confusing translations?
turbo model ecu maybe the cheap option??
