Great decision to not reupholster (I was hoping you wouldn't). There's so many cool things to do with steampunk on a nice surface like that. Love the overall look. I think I might have used white as an undercoat (personally - just my choice) to keep the book pages from getting too dark. It would also have looked fantastic with some more steam punk layers over the pages - maybe a steampunk person, or a sign (or both!). I really love the gears and accent metallic color... AND that you have the vanity to match it with. It's just awesome! Thanks for your inspiration.
Thanks! It didn't take nearly as long as the vanity since I knew what I needed to do. Getting myself motivated to do it was the hard part since I'm not a fan of being in the garage lately. I need to clean again badly!
