I'm amazed they actually fixed the one and only criticism I saw people have for the covers. This is a fantastic change and if I owned the hardbacks and had the room to display the hardbacks, I would no brainier get these.
I finally acquired a complete hardcover set, but the first four books are the smaller versions. Still a pretty good get considering at least a dozen of them are second-hand store finds.

The WOT covers look flawless. Just a suggestion, if more vibrant colours be introduced for the ASOIAF collection as well. A bit "antique" feel but with a twist of vibrant colours. Just something similar you guys have done with the WOT covers currently like the dragon scales in the background along with the vibrant colours make a bold statement and stand out. The current ASOIAF covers though fine looking , the colours look a little dull compared to the covers you guys have made for other series. It is just a mere suggestion. Hope it helps!

That book series was my favourite when I was a kid, and I remember being so excited every time a new book in the series would be released. After doing a re-read recently I was surprised to find that many of the characters and dynamics of the world were still super compelling. I'd love to hear your thoughts about it one day!

4:00 its not just the dragon banner, it is the banner (more sigil) of light (also known as the ancient symbol of aes sedai) with the dragon on top of it. it looked awesome and it looks even better now, but the dragon banner is white (particularly bright white) with the dragon on it. no mention of the banner of light (or the ancient aes'sedai symbol) is ever referenced to it. the dragon banner, and the ying yang without dots (the banner of light) are never considered the same thing or even related to eachother, if you were to call them flags having both at the same time would be like taking the american flag and the canadian flag and squeezing them into one thing. the dragon banner was lews therin's personal sigil, the banner of the light while directly associated with the aes'sedai was also the flag that everyone on the side of the light aligned to.
Crud, now I'm going to have to replace my old book 1-6 paperbacks with the hardcover editions, so I can get these covers. Of course, the old paperback bindings were shit, and 25 years of rereads haven't been kind to them.
