"Federkleid "= "Feather Dress" (Bird plumage) Over the heath, in the first light of the morning The birds fly, where will they be tomorrow? I follow the rustling, the swinging of the silent moor Ancient songs emerge from the mists Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you, far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let us chase the heavens in dance Fog like silk, brushing my skin so coolly Further and further, where can I find the goal of my longing? I close my eyes and a feather dress sprouts I can already feel the wind and spread my wings Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you, far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let us chase the heavens in dance The heavens in you, how can I know them, can I see them? We dance in flight, like stars going their way Come and fly away with us Let the wind carry you, far away from this place Come and fly as high as you can Let's chase the skies in dance
greatings from the old Germany, near Berlin, Not everyone is bad and still maintains the old customs, we are torn between heritage and economy, but more and more are finding their way back to the old values
“Federkleid” - from the German, literally, “feather-clad”, but usually translated as “plumage”. Faun primarily sing in German, but they have a couple of songs online in English, one of which is “Halloween”. (I recommend you listen to that one on Halloween, just for the atmosphere!)
Thank you for reacting to Faun, this guys are my all time favorite band... If you want to listen to another masterpiece of music, at least in my opinion, pleas do "FAUN ft. ELUVEITIE - GWYDION", its a german pagan folk meets swiss folk metal... Greetings from Germany
Faun is one of my absolute favorite germand bands for a long time now. I just can recommend you to listen to as much of them as you can. Fantastic medieval inspired music with very old instruments and fantastic voices. Just to dream away.
Faun was founded in 1999 by the male singer Oliver "SaTyr" Pade in Germany. You couldn't hear him in this song, but he played the lute (the thing that looks similar to a guitar). The hurdy-gurdy player is also a singer. The two female singers have been replaced several times. Faun are one of the most successful representatives of neo-medieval music / pagan folk. YEAH my fav song of FAUN and the video was made not far away. Thank you guys for this reaction Yes the hurdy-gurdy is an awesome instrument. I love the sound so much. I was so often at this mystical location with the rocks. Just 25 kilometers away I'm so happy you like it!
FAUN IS A PAGAN-FOLK FROM GERMANY MUNIC THE SONG IS IN GERMAN! GREETINGS FROM GERMANY 👋 The women and men wear clothes that were worn in the Middle Ages and the musical instruments are originals from the Middle Ages !
It should also be mentioned that the song at the Externsteine was probably already a sacred place in the Stone Age. They found artifacts from 10000 years BC And our Germanic tribes already danced there and I was also a fascinating place when you consider what they have already experienced. Faun is also one of my favorite medieval folk bands
The earliest artefacts found at Externsteine that can in any way be construed as connected to a cult are from the carolingian epoch, i.e. post christianisation. Forschungsgemeinschaft Deutsches Ahnenerbe (in other words the SS) spent an inordinate amount of money looking for anything pre-christian in the 1930s. They found diddly squat. The stones MIGHT have held religious significance to earlier cultures, but there is nothing in the archaeological record. They now have a small museum at the place that gives a good overview over the findings, as well as the modern myths surrounding the place.
Medieval touch, great song, unbeschreiblich gut.

I like it most when Dona is present. Lulu does fine for someone her age but i prefer to get multiple generations.
