This time video is a follow-up video for Sanseviera trifasciata moonshine propagation.
I did dividing propagation about 4month ago and also did snake plant leaf cutting water propagation around 2month ago.
In today's video, I'd like to share a little tip for growing moonshine plants, how to propagate, and also a bit of feedback myself.

Great video, thanks! The babies from the leaf cuttings look very light. Did they produce more Moonshines, or did the revert to a darker Sansiveria? Thanks!

@favourgreen, hello! Thank you for the video. Is this your first winter having snake plants? In winter now, do you still water them once in 2-3 weeks? I am almost afraid of watering my snake plants. Thank you!! :)

I'm not 100% sure I got this plant as first winter plant but I would water my snake plant about once in 3~4 weeks during the winter time.
In general, snake plant can perform well with less water but in winter it grow a lot slower, so doesn't require to be watered much.
One of the easy way for watering could be water the snake plant when wait it is slightly wilting. In that way you don't need to worry about over watering :)

Hey Hansoo, I like the simplistic style of your videos! Keep making more of these. And I had a question.
I bought the sansevieria moonshine today(i bought one pot which had one mother and 2 little ones) but some leaves are kind of ugly and dark. So I wanted to know if these propagations will have any effect on the color of the pant.
Hey Akshay. In my experience, so far propatation didn't affect the colour much (if its going to affect the colour, maybe it can affect how much are they green or lighter)
I'm not exactly sure how it looks your plant but, if the color is dark in a sense close to black or wet brown colour, it could be means the plant have been suffered with overwatering and it caused the rotten. On the other hand 'dark' mean was darker green, you don't need to worry about it much :)

Nice video Hansoo! 🪴 great tip on watering the propagated plants more frequently. This moonshine would pair well with the mini jungle collection near my front door, right next to my sansevieria laurentii.

How often did you change the water for the water propagated ones? I’ve never had any luck with propagating snake plants but your vids encourage me to try again :)
I mostly change water once in a week to 10days.
But if the water looks bit greenish before that, I change water straight

About the underwatering caused to the plant dose it bounce back when you water it?
And where I put this plant? On my reading desk just looking for nice looking pot 🌹
If the plant dried too much, it may not bounce back, but fortunately in my case, it bounced back generally :)

I just watched this video 3 years after it was posted. I have a question.. does the leaf water propagation grow like the mother plant with the dark green rims or is it just plain green all over?

Hi there, when I did propagation experiment with moonshine plant, it became a normal snake plant which has lining pattern not moonshine. To propagate moonshine properly (multiplying moonshine plant) seems to divide instead of doing water propagation. Hope thats answered your question.
