Thanks to all who have shown interest in this project. I decided to develop this into a full addon and build the course! You can check out the most recent update video here… th-cam.com/video/Lw52iBbNTYM/w-d-xo.html More on the way soon! Seán
Love to see updates regarding this. Good to see you took a similar approach to using vertex groups. I have to admit this method is a lot more user friendly than what I suggested previously. Please keep working on this and keep up the good work, I Think this could be incredibly useful.
One question, are you working also on a shape function for deformed shape of structures?, cause using so much nodes to get it is a little messy the visualization and the modeling results very annoying for me
I'm very interested in this. I also worked a little bit on making something similar myself around 2 years ago for my 3D truss engine written entirely in python. Hoping you can also open-source this project so that people can also can also contribute to the code base.
Dear Dr Sean Carroll Dynamo Sandbox offer great tools for visual programming using predefined nodes or python scripts, you can simulate optimize specific parameters or what ever you can imagen. your effort are great but i want to discuss this topic with you. please give me your thoughts and ideas Regards

Thanks - yes I've been really pleased with the response so far, seems there's a good appetite for this!
I love this. I've signed up.
Thanks...always appreciate your ongoing support!
Looks great, Blender is a very adaptive tool - very good for Non-destructive workflows
Yes, please 🙏 love this (I think actually I’ve asked for this in one of my feedbacks at the end of a course)
Great! Thanks for the feedback
Super cool! Your on your way to creating an opensource Structural Analysis program to rival RISA and RAM Elements etc. I'm here for it!
Thanks...appreciate the support 👍
Definitely interested!
Love it!
Im interested please more vidoes

Very interested
yes I want to learn how to do this in Blender. :)
Check out my latest video that provides an update on progress for this project.
