They could go further with the articualtion though by giving him future torso articulation in 2 parts like SHMA can.
Gotta agree with that It stops this figure from getting other dynamic poses like MonsterArts could, while I do like the upgrades now that I’ve all Godzilla’s, indeed they could’ve kept upgrading this figure. For people expecting the updated Godzilla 2021 to be different they might feel disappointed same figure as G 2019.

@@somedudewhodraws9377 No there’s no reason to make the purchase finally knowing both 2019 & the upgrade Godzilla 2021 are literally the same figure, what’s different is the paint job that’s all I see this as a waste of money if I own this Godzilla 2019 I don’t need 2 identical figures. People thought perhaps it might have a bigger body or head nope nothing 😐 Hiya here could’ve gave G 2021 a new head & body.
Looks very good both figures, I've the 2021 2.0 and the 2019, honestly, in my opinion the 2021 2.0 looks a little better, the eyes and the head on the 2021 2.0 are fantastic. My top on the standard Goji's will be:
1. 2021 2.0
2. 2019
3. 2021 OG ver.
I agree the updated version is slightly better because of the paint difference on 2019 & 2021, to me 2019 looks way to friendly and I love how the eyes look on the 2021. I got my fingers crossed that Godzilla 2014 turns out great.

Hopefully my g19 turns out good. And i did kind of figure that the upgrade g21 was the same as the g19 honestly.
I been looking forwards to this Godzilla 2019 in person it’s not bad as I thought, my only gripe the eyes could’ve been a little bit better, you really have to pay attention to both of them to really notice they look slightly derby. With the upgraded Godzilla 2021 your right from the photos it was hard to tell any differences. I’m disappointed 😔 they could’ve made that last one different with bigger upgrades.
@RubiGamingx ya. Honestly. They could have just made him have the g14 feet (his feet went back to the g14 feet in gvk for some reason). And they could have made his tail longer. And sharper dorsal plates. And it would have been fine, honestly.

It will only be a visual difference with the paint job. Don’t expect major changes, Godzilla 2019 & the upgraded Godzilla 2021 are the same.

It depends what you’re looking for the updated 2021 has better eyes and a different paint job, technically every single updated Godzilla is the same model with a visual difference on the paint job.

2019 is 2021 v2 after playing in the sand
Not a lot of folks seem to point this out, so here I go. I have a soft spot for the original 2021 hiya Goji. Why? His proportions are the closest in accuracy to the cgi model from Gvk, also the head is just the cherry on the top. If you have got a keen eye for design, you will notice that godzilla is a BIG unit in Gvk. His shoulders are quite wide, and so is the middle body. His chest looked swole too.
The original hiya figure DOES look quite swole in its upper and middle body (not 100% accurate though), but it is still excellent.
Now, g19 did in fact appear muscular, but still thinner than g21. The biggest issue I got with the g19 figure is mainly the head and eyes. The head's got details but it looks less like godzilla (Up close and from certain angles it looks better).
Now, updated g21 figure: same model as g19, thus: incorrect proportions, incorrect head, incorrect dorsal plates.
If they were to actually update the godzilla 2021 figure they would have: resculpted the head to accomodate the new neck system, resculpted the dorsal plates to match the 2021 design, kept the same proportions as the original hiya godzilla 2021 while making it ever so slightly wider in the upper body, and maybe paint the teeth better. That's it. It would have been spot on.
This is why I appreciate the original godzilla figure from hiya more. Unless they update the sculpt for their 2021 or 2019 again, which I know will never happen, my judgement will remain as is.
MAKE, GODZILLA, WIDE, AGAIN!
On a side note, the original hiya godzilla is not perfect at all. That neck joint is a nightmare due to how loose it gets overtime and how delicate one has to be when moving it. The jaw gets loose fast too.
You gave a very fair judgment not many people do that and actually put some thought into it, I also still love the OG Godzilla 2021 there’s something about it that has that charm as you mentioned. For Godzilla x Kong they should update this Ver, I made a new video talking about the future for hiya & giving feedback to monstersarts & hiya toys. Another thing I’m sure a custom Godzilla 2021 could look way better! I wished they didn’t just Do a copy & paste from 2019 to 2021 :/
@@RubiGamingx It is so weird that hiya went the lazy route. Back in 2022, hiya was a literal blessing for me when they releaded g21 and king kong. They really demonstrated a good approach in creating a monsterverse godzilla figure that's affordable, that looks immaculate, and that moves well. And now? They release the 2019 godzilla, and re release the same sculpt for 4 separate figures (1st atomic charged version, burning, upgraded 2021, and 2nd atomic charged version). They have a chance to redeem themselves (in my case) with that great looking ghidorah, muto, skullcrawler, and then whatever will be released after GxK.
I don't mean to sound negative but it may be too soon to say that I expected more of hiya. Godzilla 2021 is my second favourite design, I think you get my point.
@@LJy710 I do get your point very clearly unfortunately, most companies will always reuse the same mold, by them providing each Godzilla figure differently would’ve came along way with fans. By starters such small details do have a big impact on the figure
Like we saw on the 2021 eyes vs 2019. Still they are giving fans a better Godzilla design then any other company currently that has articulation.
@@RubiGamingx I'm glad you get it too. Despite my criticism, I still think most hiya godzillas are amazing figures. I recognise the effort that went into making them.

Funny enough. It's the new Pre-Evolved Godzilla is the thing that made the difference
The neck are slightly slim and is quite softer neck pieces (It might just be the temperature here affecting it)
But they made the tail segments borders a bit wide. What this means is that the tail is more posable. Miyht look a bit weird if you lie the tail flat but if you want your Hiya normal Godzilla to have its tail in a more curve type of pose? Pre Evolved Godzilla is the one.
Oh, and the paint is also different. They said it's the mix of both 19 and 21 Godzilla based on the reviewer who lut his side by side by the 2.
