I only hope Ben Grauer's family hears and sees this. I'm now 68 and in the '60s and '70s he was New Year's Eve. Off the top of his head he summarized every year the events of the old year and hopes for the future. A true broadcaster... God bless him. Over the years we wanted just to see "the ball drop" on New Year's Eve from Times Square and he was that great NYC voice of it.
This is such a marvelous video compilation of Ben Grauer's reports from Times Square on New Year's Eve!! Mr. Grauer's last hurrah (for 1977) was the very first time I watched the ball drop on TV, and it was such a spontaneous event back in the day. Today, the NYE TSq ball drop is scripted and lacks the excitement it had during Benny's long tenure of reportage from there. Once again, I thank you!! 😀
you got the title wrong that title belonged to Dick Clarks new year's Rockin’ Eve. well guy Lombardo New Year's Eve special was called A New Year's Eve Party with Guy Lombardo, but it was called a New Year's Eve party with Lombardo in the syndication years.

34:21 Video of New Years Rockin’ Eve With Guy Lombardo without his voice and Ben Grauer’s voice replacing Lombardo’s voice.
