  • Well, it's time for the hydraulic oil to be changed in the 210. I looked at a lot of different oils and decided to go with Champion Quantum. I've used Champion oil in the 850 hydraulics and it's worked great. So, we'll try it and see what happens. Lot's of good reviews on it.

Fresh oil, new grease, maintain everything you can, much cheaper than a catastrophic breakdown from lack of it. Stay the course sir, the weather has to change soon. I do not envy you the cost of fuel and parts. Thanks for the ride along.

Since you asked… Fuel prices- we are heading to Florida for the 4th this year. We planned to drive. But, it is cheaper to fly. We’ll be there 9 days. Our daughter will chauffeur us around. Except a day trip we will take. It is still cheaper to rent a car than to drive ours down to start with!
I used Champion in my old baby backhoe. It worked great. However, Kubota won’t warranty any fluids other than theirs. So, I’m stuck another year on my new tractor.
You’ve caught a couple of storms that we’ve missed. We’re still 8” above normal. There’s a lot of hay fields going to seed. Gonna be a lot of lower protein first cuttings this year.
Hopefully you catch a break on the weather… as to fuel prices…. Might as well start figuring where you are gonna install the windmill and solar panels in that Kobelco!!!

That really doesn't surprise me on flying vs driving. Thats what we've done for the last few times we've went to Florida for vacation.
Yeah, I've used Champion in the 850 for several years and it's worked fine. Going see what happens but i'm suspecting it'll work just fine.
Seems like we've been hit by every storm that's came up lately.🤦‍♂️ Looks like the next couple weeks are going to be dry (fingers crossed!)
The Kobelco's not too bad on fuel (unlike the D6 or 953) which love the fuel. It's really fuel efficient for a 170 horse machine. As always, thanks Dave!

Lubrication is alot cheaper than the parts that fail from eating it's self.

I have to be honest, it's not so much the price of fuel that gets my shorts in a bunch, it's the reason those prices are so high that really chaps my azz. Say what you will about Trump, but for the first time in history, we didn't import a single barrel of oil. Heck, we were exporting it! We were energy-independent. What does our current wonderful leader do? Cancels a major pipeline ON HIS FIRST DAY IN OFFICE, and with it 1000s of high paying jobs. As a result, he starts buying oil from Russia again! Then he drives inflation to a 40-year high with the Dem standard--- out-of-control spending and borrowing. Now he wants to spend a trillion more on student loan forgiveness. I suppose I was one of the stupid people that paid off my loans.
Sorry for the rant. Fuel prices are going to bankrupt me. I literally can't afford to run right now. And I just went out and overspent on equipment to do my own thing. Arrgghhh!! A lot of people out there have no idea how the price of fuel affects literally every aspect of life in America. Since we no longer manufacture anything here, we have to pay for the oil the container ships burn, then the trains, and finally trucks. Our economy is dependent on oil, and our "elected" leaders want to price fossil fuels out of existence so they can say they saved the world from the evil oil companies. They don't give a rat's behind about prices because they're all millionaires. Funny how a salary of $200K per year transforms into $20 million in no time. Pffft.
