With Rain On The Way....Can I get This 66x131 Shop Pad Built??
Finally able to get a video posted after a couple week hiatus....sorry!!
With rain and possible freezing precip on the way I have to get the clay down before it hits. After it hits and dries up a bit i'll get some gravel down that way the concrete guys can get started.

Patio Build On The Edge Of A Drop Off....Watch That First Step!!
มุมมอง 93514 วันที่ผ่านมา
After digging the footings I filled in the patio area with gravel in preparation for concrete. Also first time out with the new DJI Mic 2 microphone. I think it's going to work out great! Audio is much better and I can overlay my narration with the machine sound as well.
Digging Some Deep Footings With A Bobcat E35.

Been a few years since I dug footings but it went well. These footings had to be deep because the contractor was concerned about the patio wanting to slide down this steep hill.
A Damn Dam Blowout...Need To Repair It Before The Rain Gets Here!

Field rocks were added to the spillway causing the pond level to rise and crawl the middle of the dam. Which intern caused massive erosion and almost lost the pond. Brought in some dirt to fill it back in and raise the low spot on the dam.
Steep Slope Dig Out For A New Man Cave, But Will The Limestone Get Me?

Man this slope is steep and I need to get a level spot for this little shop/man cave. The owner had to drill and blast to get his house in just up the hill. Fingers crossed!

Will A 3/8's Chain Lift A 20,000 pound County Box Culvert?
มุมมอง 1.4Kหลายเดือนก่อน
The local county road district has a multi section box culvert going under a county road. Under flood conditions the water will go over the road and after numerous times of doing it. The water has undercut the culvert causing it to drop and come unhooked from itself. They dont have anything to lift that kind of weight (estimated at 20 to 25k). Unfortunately, I didn't have any cables so we used ...

The Half Mile Of Cedar Trees Are Gone But The Clean Up Is Immense!!
มุมมอง 2.4Kหลายเดือนก่อน
With all the Cedar trees gone I can see how bad the ground is eroded and what it's going to take to clean it up. The old timers dumped a lot of field rock in the fence so thats going to be a pain to deal with. Time for the 850 to work it's magic!

Some Seepage From The Pond Dam...Time For Some Bentonite!!
Hello SV ! LARRY, so sorry what happened here. Over a thousand of us would love to take a FIELDTRIP to this guy. Anyway does anyone know of part for this or one in better shape or another. Often, good things come from bad & we all wish you well as you really work too hard for this! Keep the faith young man!
As we would say down here "bugger it all" you may have a engineer locally who could spray metal and machine the worn parts its better and cheaper than building up with weld. I be interested to see how you go with repair.
Yup! I can accept mistakes from overlooks and ignorance. But, there is no forgiveness for deceit!
Can't trust anyone anymore and that's sad I feel for you buddy
Nice bit of bulldozing mate. I well remember the silo foundation being built and it is cool to see you working for regular clients. The building pad trimmed down real good too. We are currently sitting around 30 degrees c at the mo so at least I can feel cooler watching the 850 in your experienced hands. Cheers 🍻
lol, thanks Sam!
YEAH, I'm back with something *GREAT I NOTICED* and that is the DEDICATED WORK ETHIC of DIRTDADDY and ALL the channels I watch. Around where I am it's hard to get workers to commit to jobs - small$ large$, no matter. Just lazy people all over. Big THANKS to all who get the job done!!!
Thanks Sonny!
Nice video. I enjoy watching you work.🙂👍
Thanks for watching!
Looks more like an *AIRPLANE HANGAR* ! Man, you really put yourself out there. Hey *DIRTDADDY take care of YOU cuz no one else will* ! We would but most of us are too far away. The job always gets done (even if a day or two later due to weather!) Take care buddy!
Thanks Sonny!
My friend, that looks to be a chilly ride setting out there on the 850, my hats off to you, unfortunately it’s the only way the job gets done, and the 850 seems to fit the bill.thanks for the update, enjoy your videos.
Yeah, it was definitely cold. Thanks buddy!
Pretty work Larry. Have a great weekend.
Looks good buddy great video 👍
Thanks!
Looking great my friend. Love the videos. 😊
Thanks 👍
🤝👍
Thanks!
I can hear ya, hope you’re staying warm, thanks for the update, always enjoy!
Thanks Terry!
Is a 755b crawler a good machine compared to the cat 953
Hey Nick! The Deere 755b is a front engine machine and the 953 is a rear engine machine so it's kinda hard to compare the two. When I first started many many years ago I had front engine loaders and in my opinion the rear engine machines are better. The rear engine machines are much faster and easier to see out of. Theres nothing wrong with a front engine machine and I think the 755b's are good machines but once you've ran a rear engine machine it's hard to go back. Thanks!!
@Dirtdaddy953 Okay, I got it. Thank you for the response. The machine is super cheap, and I just need to push over a bunch of trees. It also has a 4-in-1 bucket.
@ Just be careful if it's real cheap, there might be a reason. Just make sure and check the hydrostatic drive system. They can be very problematic and expensive to fix.
@Dirtdaddy953 dd OK Google information thank you for that it only has 2500 hours it was used by the city for the last 30 years once or twice a month to push off some dirt but I will definitely take a close look do you have any idea what the value of something like that should be I plan on paying around $9,000
@@nickbabamov Depends on the condition. If it dosent have a bunch of problems. I’d say $9 would be a great buy.
Nice job as usual sir, hope you are doing well. I've been recovering from back surgery and was about to go back to work and my wife and I both came down with the flu. Needless to say Ive had time to catch up on your videos. I had such a busy last six months of 24 that if I sat down for more than 5 minutes I was asleep. Keep the good videos coming!
Thanks Dave! I totally understand! I haven’t had much time to edit and post videos as well.
Great video. Audio sounds great. I knew the 770 would grow on you after awhile.
Thanks! Yeah, I wasnt for sure if id done the right thing buying it, but I think I did after all!
I think you have a much better audio now. Hopefully, you can keep busy until the weather breaks.
Thanks! Yeah, I hope so too.
You do what they HIRE you to do and always do it well. I am NOT in favor of that rear yard and hope no children live there. I can't understand why someone would desire a yard with a mountain to fall off of. Thank you for another VIDEO!
Thanks Sonny! No kids here (just her dogs) lol!
Hey young man, you do a great job with your channel, you stay the course, be who ya are, that’s why I watch your channel. Nice job on patio by the way, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
Thanks Terry!
shoot, I can make complete sentences - maybe even paragraphs just using variants of the F-word - then I feel better and the blood pressure drops back to normal.
Lol! Yeah me too but I usually edit those out!
You work in construction the f bomb is completely understandable lol great video buddy 👍
lol! Thats true! Thanks Willard!
All great with the mic....great vid.
Thanks Kid! Still learning all the bells and whistles on the thing.
Great audio 👍
Thanks! Yeah, I’m still learning the system. I think once I get it figured out it’s going to be amazing.
I like the mic system so you can talk to us while the camera is outside the machine. A friend of mine bought a snow/litter bucket for doing jobs like this where material has to be moved a fair distance. It carries about a third more than his normal smooth edge bucket. That doesn't sound like much, but in a day of working, that's a lot of extra material he has moved. I'm thinking seriously about getting one myself. Job turned out nice Larry.
Thanks! Yeah while editing the video I can see where this mic system will be neat to have. Normally I try to keep my piles closer to the work area but the video doesn’t do it justice on how steep that drop off is. Didn’t want to push my luck on ending up at the bottom.😂 I have a smooth bucket that came with the machine that I have to cut out and weld a new cutting edge on. It has a little more capacity than the bucket I normally use. Thanks buddy!
Looks great my friend. No need to be careful on what you say or mumble. Your human and just like the rest of us when thinking and when things don't go well. We all say the F bomb once in a while to relieve the pressure. Just be you my friend. That's what we all love about you. Thanks for sharing and keep m coming 😊
lol! Thanks buddy!
Good job Larry. Have a great day and stay warm.
Good job mate turned out pretty good looking forward to seeing more of your videos
Thanks Malcolm!
It was hard to hear you talking at first, but it got better. If you can lower the sound from the machine verses your voice it would be great.
Yeah, I’m still playing around with the mic settings so hopefully it’ll get better. Thanks!
Looks good , trimmed up good, thanks for posting 🙂👍🏻
Thanks Sam!
We are Earthmoving Contractors , no harm or shame in letting rip with a bit of colourful language mate.
@@samhopper3474 Lol! You are correct brother!

Thanks buddy and appreciate ya watching!
Nice job !!!
Thanks!
could use some better teeth on that bucket - shoot, my front teeth could do a better job.
Yeah, it was a rental so ran what it had on it.
Thanks for sharing mate
Thank you!
There is a silver lining to the hood coming off going down the road, that is at least the excavator didn’t go with it🙄😮😊😂. You know I’ve seen attachment backhoe units that go onto skid steers, I don’t know if they work well or the cost of them though, then again if you even get into smaller projects that much, just a thought. Excellent job sir, enjoyed watching.
Thanks Terry!
Love my MINI Bobcat excavator....handy for those small jobs and easy to transport etc. Great vid. Newer ones are more powerful compared to the same size older Bobcat machines.
Yeah, this one is only a couple years old. I don’t know….might grow on a guy, who knows?🤷♂️
@@Dirtdaddy953 Maybe....LOL
You made me cackle a little bit when you said the machine was jerky and you weren't impressed. I said the same thing the first time I got on one. I never thought I would learn to love that little machine. Ive made my living with that same size machine and a skidsteer for a long time. It's all in what you get used to running. That next section looks like it's going to be a doozy.
lol! Yeah, it’d take some getting used to for sure! I guess I said the same thing about the T770 when I first got it. Now I love it!🤷♂️😂
Pretty work Larry. Have a great weekend.
I think dirt daddy needs to add a mini excavator to the fleet great video buddy 👍
Thanks Willard! It’s crossed my mind!😁
Great video! Just curious why not use your excavator?
Time, It was quicker to use the 953 because my client didn't want a bunch of brush piles strung all over the field. He wanted as few as possible and it would of taken longer with the excavator to carry that much. I would of preferred to use the excavator for sure. Thanks!
Good job mate thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it
Great job!!! Bobcat job for sure. Doesn't make much of a mess either. Trees don't help in a dam either...especially if they uproot etc. as you know.
Thanks! It worked real good for this. Nope, trees never any good on a pond dam. Just a matter of time before it bits you!
Looks much better. The topsoil you brought was top quality and should grow grass soon.
Thanks! Yes, I told him to get some rye grass on it for it rains a lot and starts eroding it out.
Great job repairing the damn Larry. Have a great week.
A good out come on this pond dam repair . Thanks for posting. I enjoyed the video mate looks like you are getting some nasty weather according to our evening news here. Take care. Cheers.
Thanks Sam! Yeah it’s not good around home for sure!
Ya Know - I hope your (OUR) buddy *BRANDON* is watching you move that skid steer all around like it's been your best friend! Yeah you run that thing IN TUNE with the music & make quite a transformation. All this courtesy of *SKIDSTEER LANDSCAPING by DIRTDADDY* with thanks from all of us!
lol, thanks Sonny!
You turned that into a pretty nice looking finished project. Amazing how a couple loads of dirt, and good equipment coupled with an experienced operator can make a place look that sweet when completed, thanks for the update, enjoyed watching.
Thanks Terry!
Looks really good for just using a skid steer great job and a great video buddy 👍
Thanks Willard!
As usual, great job. Always enjoy seeing your mastery of equipment.
Thank ya sir!
