As soon as the boss turned its lower body into a giant drill, I knew deep inside me that it was the correct choice to use MY OWN drill against it and it didn't surprise me that it worked the first time. Everything about that moment was perfect, and the music hyped everything up to insane levels. Fucking 10/10
It took me a bit to realize, but the ONLY places in the game where "XXXX" is used, it's to substitute for the word "Blue". Specifically, in this song, and in one of the splash screens where it spells it out for you. "The complimentary color to Orange is XXXX"
Combine that into the actual theme, and you have "sky blue days" Sky blue is also called "sorairo" and this makes the gurren laggan opening theme. Why does this happen? Pick the drill powerup and get to this fight. It's awesome.
@@Konh-Minh I just wish Type C's drill was even half as good as its swords. The bullet reflection on the tapped attacks is just too insanely good to pass up, especially since it also does double damage.
@@slavkei Sword is for more technical players. I like the drill because I can just hold down the button and it will do damage and then turn into a big drill with even more destructive power and deletes a lot of bullet types, as well as slow down any bullets it can't delete. There are a lot of situations where the Type C's drill allows you to be in the enemy's face at virtually no risk where there is a bigger risk from being within melee range with the sword. They both have their uses and they're better in different situations, just like every other weapon.
I like the drill because it can pierce the heavens. I didn't understand where the game was going when I first played 1-4, so I chose the sword on accident. I felt like a fool.
I admit I kind of questioned whether the drill was REALLY a Giga Drill Break reference, or if I was overthinking things. Then there was a Giga Drill Break vs Razengan Overload drill battle. And one day I may even git gud enough to actually see it first hand instead of experiencing it through videos.

Unironically I don't think Zeroranger works in an anime format. At least, you'd have to change a lot to make it fit the format, but at that point I'd rather just gove Studio Erasure narrative control over a unique production.
@@user-xj5lc3wg3n Seriously, there are some narratives that simply can't be presented without the specific kind of participation that comes with playing a game. The weight of realizing that your whole experience with this game is just the latest iteration of an eternal cycle of suffering and darkness, and the resulting need to resolve yourself to risk EVERYTHING YOU HAVE ACCOMPLISHED, knowing that you will most likely succumb once more and have to repeat it all again, simply isn't something that can be conveyed as efficiently without the player's accumulated investment and effort, suffering and triumphs.
@@MrAgentIncognito I dunno. I don't like how you beat her in that situation because she's too busy sitting there taunting to actually fight. Drill all the way.,
Update: So Type C's sword makes this fight incredibly fun and over the top if you just do the whole fight in mecha mode and focus on quick lunges and lots of good parries with the strong attacks. But the finale for sword is also a lot harder. Instead of just dodging sparks and Tengen Toppa'ing, you'll have to play some fast paced tennis and then have to stop the fucking sun. It's honestly a lot harder to pull off. Song and fight both rated 10/10

there's a hint that has XXX and XXXXXX, substituting Red and Yellow specifically, it's just non-green, non-orange colors that are censored
