I like this song Randy Rhoads did such a phenomenal job on guitar 🎸. The man knew what he was doing.❤Hopefully he’s resting in peace ✌️. You can hear how much love he put into what he did.
Man I say it so often but Kevin is so underrated I think it's hilarious that Randy and Kelli didn't think he could sing when they found him because is voice is so awesome
It's weird, I've always considered Randy my biggest influence and the reason I got serious about guitar. I always had a guitar I played a tiny bit here and there, but then I heard Mr. Crowley and that song made me wanna be a serious musician. However, I always kinda turned a blind eye to his time with Quiet Riot. What a fucking mistake that was, because the songs in this compilation are amazing. I am so embarrassed that as a someone who considered himself a giant Randy Rhoads fan (with a tattoo, shirts, etc...) I never appreciated his work with this band. This is fantastic, and in my opinion, the best music Quiet Riot ever wrote. I'm not a religious man, but bless you Randy Rhoads. I hope you're in another place, happy, and turning heads with your unparralled talent.
Funny, I didn't even know he had even been with Quiet Riot. Then again, I had focused more on their music than the individual members. But I respected Kevin Dubrow. ""He could wail!",as we used to say back in the 1980's. That was a honor to the great singers of the time.
Yeah.. I didn't know at first when I had started to listen to Ozzy back in the day, was about 10 , 15 years ago I found out that it was Randy Rhoads and Kelly Garny that formed Quiet Riot as teenagers and they needed to get a singer for their band so they interviewed people and Kevin DuBrow was selected, there were many different drummers that played with them too. So when I had researched this I went online and started listening to his solos from quiet riot then I had found some songs from quiet riot with randy playing, now most of randy rhoads songs in quiet riot can be found online, including right here on youtube.
American Hard Rock at it's finest. And Randy has always remained a shimmering star in rock/metal guitar history. One of the lost jewels of the Rhoads era.
Even in their "pop" phase as they described, they could rock much harder and play with more energy than any popular artist on the charts from the past decade.
Thinking of you today (3-19-18) Randy. 36 years ago today the hard rock music world took a cruel hit of reality when you passed away. God Bless you Randy and the others who lost their life that fateful day. You are forever missed!!
Take cover, young lovers, Fall apart at the seams It's stainless steel, that's how I feel, You're the girl of my dreams Well I tried to call you on the phone, Your dad said that you weren't at home But we are, picking up the pieces of our lovin' Over and over again Picking up the pieces let's do it again We're picking up the pieces, Picking up the pieces of our love Well, I need your lovin' To show me what I am And I want your body To make me feel like a man You know that I'm down on my knees, You know it's you that I want to please, please Picking up the pieces of our lovin' Over and over again Picking up the pieces let's do it again We're picking up the pieces, Picking up the pieces of our love Picking up the pieces of our lovin' Over and over again Picking up the pieces let's do it again let's do it again Picking up the pieces of our lovin' Over and over again Picking up the pieces let's do it again let's do it again Picking up the pieces (X10)
Randy was born the same year my pops was born between Randy and my pops I've been influenced to sling the six string axe and i hope eventually i work my way to playing neoclassical metal
this is not a heavy metal song, it's in the area of rock music more than heavy metal....u can't compare this song to idk four horseman by metallica, or hell awaits by slayer..this song reminds me of something Blue oyster cult did...burning for you...idk why Randy's mother would not want this to be released in 93...she stood against it saying Randy would of been embarrassed by the first 2 quiet riot albums...which I never agreed with.. we only had him on 4 studio albums and the live album. so releasing this album was just what everybody wanted to hear at that time 11 yrs after his death....it's early stuff for him but he obviously branched out as an artist
@fraroc This album consists of songs from Quiet Riot's first two albums "Quiet Riot" and "Quiet Riot II". At that point they didn't have Rudy Sarzo in the band.
@codyjt5150 Indeed, I love EVH but Randy and him deff had different styles, I remember EVH saying no one should ever say someone is better than someone as all guitarists have their own style anyways. And yeah, How amazing would that be !!!!
This compilation of Quiet Riot songs was overdubbed and also remixed because I happen to own a few CD copies of the original unmixed recordings. It was Kevin's idea to release this, which is OK, but most people will never get to appreciate Randy's recordings the way they should be. This song Kevin changed up some lyrics and guitar overdubs were installed. Musicians may play instruments, but you do not have to play guitar ( although I seriously never should have given up my guitar and drum lessons ), to be a serious collector and have a master ear for superb orchestration. Sometime I will make an effort to get the material I have on TH-cam. I just have go through the motions. I can tell you now, when I do put it on TH-cam, the music is bassy because it is not mixed yet. It is in its raw form yet. But it's incredibly awesome.
And unfortunately, Kelly Garni was actually fired. It had something or everything to do with him almost shooting Randy. Yes, he did. But Kelly was still Randy's friend up to his death. Ozzy even had words for Kelly when he heard about the shooting. Parties can be big trouble.
it wasnt Randy playing bass...I actually read somewhere that it was Rudy Sarzo playing on this demo, which was added to the "Randy Rhoads years" compilation.

That's the same with me and I'm only 12 and he's had the biggest influence on me!

Take cover, young lovers,
Fall apart at the seams
It's stainless steel, that's how I feel,
You're the girl of my dreams
Well I tried to call you on the phone,
Your dad said that you weren't at home
But we are, picking up the pieces of our lovin'
Over and over again
Picking up the pieces let's do it again
We're picking up the pieces,
Picking up the pieces of our love
Well, I need your lovin'
To show me what I am
And I want your body
To make me feel like a man
You know that I'm down on my knees,
You know it's you that I want to please, please
Picking up the pieces of our lovin'
Over and over again
Picking up the pieces let's do it again
We're picking up the pieces,
Picking up the pieces of our love
Picking up the pieces of our lovin'
Over and over again
Picking up the pieces let's do it again
let's do it again
Picking up the pieces of our lovin'
Over and over again
Picking up the pieces let's do it again

@fraroc This album consists of songs from Quiet Riot's first two albums "Quiet Riot" and "Quiet Riot II". At that point they didn't have Rudy Sarzo in the band.
1:50 to 1:55 - Brian May's solo for Liar, perhaps?
Exactly.....

@Mysterwright I believe I heard that originally the band was to be called
"Quite Right"?? and some how Quiet Riot was brought up and liked. ??? Dunno.
And unfortunately, Kelly Garni was actually fired. It had something or everything to do with him almost shooting Randy. Yes, he did. But Kelly was still Randy's friend up to his death. Ozzy even had words for Kelly when he heard about the shooting. Parties can be big trouble.
Can't find it on Spotify!?!?! Ugh why?!?!?
Randy Rhoads was on bass?
Randy Rhoads plays bass?
Yess
where I can download this song?
it wasnt Randy playing bass...I actually read somewhere that it was Rudy Sarzo playing on this demo, which was added to the "Randy Rhoads years" compilation.
@JKrueg8 only talks about himself? lol, sounds you really know him well, couse he doesnt only talk about himself at all...
Where do I download the song?
Randy sounds amazing but why does Kevin always wear the same shirt through Quiet Riots whole career?🤣
This might be saint Rhodes greatest work besides Dee because that his true sound
@neoclassical666god lol
The end of the solo sounds like Liar's solo by Queen.
Missing from Apple Music-annoying.
EVH clone my ass, They both sound totally different from each other.
1 people are very crazy and hate Rock
GROSSO!
