  • Hello everyone and welcome to a new video!
FINALLY I have finished my 18th century stays! If you follow me on Instagram, you will know I have been working on these in the background since January. The patterning and fitting process alone took three weeks to a month, and then I slowly sewed them by hand over the next few months, alongside other projects. It was a really enjoyable project as I love handsewing, and it was really relaxing to be able to shut off my brain and just back stitch for a few hours.
These are still not the perfect fit, but with every try I am learning more about staymaking and fitting, which is the whole point in the end! I am also planning to make a similar pair, but by machine and for outerwear, more for that #cottagecore or #hobbitstyleaesthetic so stay tuned for that one.
