Athena is part of what makes KOF what it is. Out of all the weird things you could expect to happen in these tournaments it still hits different when your opponent is a pop star who flexes on you by cycling through outfits mid-super.
My favourite Athena is of kof 97 the background music along with athenas power makes it the best I don't know why a very underrated character in terms of power considerd as a tank
I never really understood what the part where she condenses her shield into an energy ball was supposed to do. If you could combo it somehow then I'd understand but the move is just a knockdown so it can't be used to set up anything.
I would say so. in 2k2 she is very mobile and crafty making her a top tier character. her animations were much more smoother compared with previous kof entries making it much easier to combo.
