Hi, It would not be a big issue. Having hill hold assist feature would be very helpful though. But even in hill hold assist, the feature will prevent the car from going backwards only for the initial small duration of time. Within some time, you will have to start the car and try moving it forward. So same way, even if there is no hill hold assist, if you are able to quickly start the car and accelerate it forward, it is fine. Would not be a big trouble. But yes, having hill hold assist definitely helps

DCT turbo will be more fun to drive compared to AT automatic transmission. Also, GTX+ turbo DCT(petrol) has less than 1000 cc engine(998 cc).So, 5 year insurance cost also will be lesser than GTX+ AT automatic(diesel), which is having more than 1000CC engine(1493 cc)

In general, the pulling power and torque figures of Sonet is really good. Xuv300 has the best power in this segment. But, we can say that Sonet has the next best pulling power(turbo petrol engine)

Features are good, turbo power configuration is good, so you can easily manuever around the city, without the pain of applying clutch everytime. You might definitely enjoy the driving experience. Also, diesel variant would be financially profitable for you in the long run, only if you are driving around an average of 1500kms per month(50kms per day). Since you would be doing less than 1000kms per month, I believe, HTX petrol iMT variant would be a better choice over HTX diesel variant. Hope, this helps🙂

So, if you are a family man(lets say, most of the times, you will have 4-5 persons in your car) and if you are ok compromising on some key good to have features(like the touchscreen infotainment system), then Seltos HTE is a better option over Sonet HTX. Even though Sonet HTX will give you a lot of features, Seltos is a bigger and a better looking car(plus, it has more SUV kind of look).Seltos will be comfortable if you travel with 4-5 passengers always. And later, if required, you can custom fit the touchscreen infotainment system/alloys etc from outside.
But, if you usually travel alone or as a couple, Sonet HTX might be worth investing. You will not face any size related discomfort, but at the same time, you will have a wonderful experience with all the latest features

But, if you upgrade to HTX, you might have a better ownership experience due to the presence of several feel good features. If you are looking for a family use(4/5 people travelling in the car always), then we would not recommend Sonet. Because from inside, Sonet has congested interior and smaller width in the back seat. On the other hand, XUV300 is one of the widest cars in the segment. 3 people will be able to sit behind easily, and they will get very good leg room(as the wheelbase of xuv300 is good).So the backseat passengers will never feel congested. Advantages of Xuv 300: - Wide car, very spacious legroom inside - Very good driving dynamics. One of the best power and torque configurations. So highways,and hilly areas can be covered easily. - Safest car(Safer ratings than Nexon) Disadvantages of XUV 300: - Less boot space compared to other cars in this segment(they have added more wheelbase for passenger comfort,and compromised on the boot space). So, if you frequently travel with 4-5 people, and has lot of luggage, then you will find it difficult to store the luggage. - There are lot of features in xuv300.But not all of them are practically useful features. For example, dual controllable AC, auto heated ORVMS etc are not much useful in India. If you are using your car for an average of 1500kms per month, then HTX Diesel is more value for money for you.
If your monthly average use is less than 1500kms per month, then HTX Petrol is more value for money for you.
In that, if your usage is more within the city(or, high traffic areas), then iMT would give you a better user experience, compared to Manual Diesel transmissions.

Sure! So, if you are a family man(lets say, most of the times, you will have 4-5 persons in your car) and if you are ok compromising on some key good to have features(like the touchscreen infotainment system), then Seltos HTE is a better option over Sonet HTX. Even though Sonet HTX will give you a lot of features, Seltos is a bigger and a better looking car(plus, it has more SUV kind of look).Seltos will be comfortable if you travel with 4-5 passengers always. And later, if required, you can custom fit the touchscreen infotainment system/alloys etc from outside.
But, if you usually travel alone or as a couple, Sonet HTX might be worth investing. You will not face any size related discomfort, but at the same time, you will have a wonderful experience with all the latest features

In diesel variants also, HTX would be our top recommendation due to a good match of must have and feel good features. Budget wise also, its a good option.HTK+ is also a really good variant. But, if you upgrade to HTX, you might have a better ownership experience due to the presence of several feel good features. But, if you are very specific regarding a lot of safety features, then GTX+ diesel variant is the best pick.

If you are looking for a family use(4/5 people travelling in the car always), then we would not recommend Sonet. Because from inside, Sonet has congested interior and smaller width in the back seat. On the other hand, XUV300 is one of the widest cars in the segment. 3 people will be able to sit behind easily, and they will get very good leg room(as the wheelbase of xuv300 is good).So the backseat passengers will never feel congested.
Advantages of Xuv 300:
- Wide car, very spacious legroom inside
- Very good driving dynamics. One of the best power and torque configurations. So highways,and hilly areas can be covered easily.
- Safest car(Safer ratings than Nexon)
Disadvantages of XUV 300:
- Less boot space compared to other cars in this segment(they have added more wheelbase for passenger comfort,and compromised on the boot space). So, if you frequently travel with 4-5 people, and has lot of luggage, then you will find it difficult to store the luggage.
- There are lot of features in xuv300.But not all of them are practically useful features. For example, dual controllable AC, auto heated ORVMS etc are not much useful in India.
Advantages of Sonet:
- Looks very good and Stylish(more premium look compared to xuv300)
- Lot of luxury/feel good useful features(compared to xuv 300)
- Huge boot space
- if you drive more in city, but you do not like automatic, then you can use iMT version of Sonet(gear is there, but no clutch)
- Better mileage than Xuv300
Disadvantages of Sonet:
- very congested inside(for 3 people in the back seat)
- Driving dynamis is good. But not as good as the drive feel of XUV300.
- Sonet’s Safety rating is lesser, compared to XUV 300
Now, based on the points for which you have more priority, I think you will be able to choose one. Does this help? 🙂
