Something I just discovered for myself. Horde skill books except armor. Build a Lvl 6 nerd chest piece. This armor grants 50% chance to gain 2 skill points instead of 1 when reading skill books.
Nerfing the stealth build made me hate the game. Wasn’t OP in any way/shape/form. Stealth made the game somewhat strategic besides horde night/base building and now everything just feels the same. It came at a tremendous cost in perk points that were useless outside of POI’s, so it was a major trade off to play like that. Not only that, but it was essentially a solo build because stealth is useless to team up on poi’s with unless _everyone_ is stealth.
I hate stealth builds, but if that's the way you like to play then the simps should've left it alone. They should make a way for you to become way op in any build you like, but make it difficult to obtain. Who knows though, they may switch everything around.
You could basically sit on a zombies lap without being noticed, it was stupidly OP, basically god mode because you could always hide from them. Ofc they overdid it with the nerf, as always, but usually they dial it back after a while. They can´t get nerfs and buffs right even if their life depends on it, it´s always the same. Make an OP thing, nerf it into oblivion so it´s useless and then give it a buff again to finally get to the middle ground.
I love the spear as a weapon. The extra range plus the one spear to penetrate to multiple targets. Combine that with the book that has you do more dmg the more times you hit and it is so much fun.
Diamond bladed tip on the spear is a waste, put a flaming shaft on there and get additional damage. Repair kits are everywhere and easy to make. This build might seem nice in theory, but actually playing the game you will waste a lot of time keeping your distance and running outside, back in, running outside, back in and so on. T6 infested quests are gonna take forever if you always want to keep a distance. Every build can survive a horde night on foot with megacrush and the run and gun perk. Been there done that with every weapon besides the sledge.
I've play insane nightmare feral sense 25% loot and the sledge is awesome. T6 stone is basically a baseball bat and once you can make black strap and max out your swing speed you can run only steel sledge if you want or can get the timing down.
T6 infested quests are not that hard. People act like they are some monumental challenge they are really not that big of deal. Also not all builds can one shot irradiateds. Flaming shaft is a good option but I don't like it because I find it to be very distracting. But if you don't and have lots of repair kits then yup 100% go for it. More damage always good!
@@Firespark81 It´s not about being hard with the T6. It´s the amount of zombies that force you to kite a lot with this build wich wastes a lot of time. That´s why this build isn´t broken it has a huge downside with that. I don´t need to one shot when doing a horde on foot to kill zombies, progression in this game is too fast anyways imo. You could probably even survive on day 7 with a bone knife and wooden bow and no skill if you have 3 mega crush and still kill few of them.
The spear came closest to being able to keep up with the blood moon spawn in rate for a melee weapon. Eventually you do have to swap over to a gun though.

For the spear: Weighted Head mod is better than the Serrated Blade mod, imo. IF the Serrated Blade mod triggers, it will do around 1 damage per second for 20 seconds. The Weighted Head mod has, iirc, a 15% chance to apply a huge slow debuff on zombies for a few. You already get a chance for a weak bleed with the spear books anyway.
20% ranged dmg is BIS? In general sure, but most things I kill are the undead so the preacher gloves giving like 60% dmg vs undead seems slightly better.
I love the commando set. It's just so useful, especially that run speed. Having all that speed is a great way to go when it comes to being safe. I didn't know that the spear speed decrease is 30%. That's a really significant run speed decrease.
I think Raider Helm (if you don't want to drink beer), otherwise Nomad or Nerd (if you want exp). Preacher Gloves, because the damage is universal, making your spear way more powerful. Nomad Boots for the run speed. Max Stam or cheaper melee attacks is also quite good if you sometimes overextend or if your level is a bit low etc. Chestpiece matters the least. I could also consider wearing a stealth-friendly set for POI clearing with spears. Preacher Gloves along with 3 pieces of assassin. Going full assassin doesn't help much anymore. Since we're already in agility it is only a few extra points. A spear to the face of a sleeper is much easier than knives but still does massive damage with sneak talents, and is better at dealing with non-sleeping zombies. Either way I'd drop the medium armor skill points. The effect is too minor.
@@Firespark81 I wrote in my comment that the benefit isn't worth it. The speed difference in combat is very very small. In combat you will still move at 120% in heavy armor or mixed armor with the urban combat book with a pair of 20%+ speed boots. It is not the strong aspect of the build.
Rouge hood with xp loot mod, cigar, flash light, nomad outfit with pockets, custom fitting, and noise reduction, preacher gloves, and commando boots with the noise reduction and custom fittings. Another brilliant build. The pre-nerf Stealth (I used a lot) was silly and felt like cheese. They really should have just made the outfit weaker. Maybe a tier 6 could have been the old tier 3 or something. This one keeps you actively playing and moving. If you stop to think a while, you'll die. I'm not a die hard Preacher gloves fanboy, but I do wonder about the added damage to the spear being fun. Still, even with tier 5 armor, you're going to lose 10% of you boot speed, and that seems your bread and butter.
Because medium armor with the custom fittings is what gets us the 107 mobility. Can't mix and match armor classes.
Nothing broken here, its just parkour. You add parkour to any build, and then u jump over anything, escape from anywhere etc. You can do just agility build and have the same, or even better experience. You have ranged weapon and knifes are just OP, plus u finish the build way faster
Knives lack the range and damage. They are op. But even more when stealth killing.
Burning shaft instead of diamond tip for extra fire dmg, especially early its awesome.
I like this armor but can it survive radiated feral cops decently? On higher difficulties too, I mean. As for tier 4 poi's and not higher I tend to go for Biker. Saves ammo.
🍺
Stealth was waaaay more broken aside from hoard nights. Zombies literally didn't even interact with you. TFPimps did the right thing and nerfed stealth correctly.
The change was bad it feels bad to play and they should feel bad for doing it 😁
@@Firespark81 I partially agree. The stealth build NEEDED a nerf, but the Fun Police went WAY overboard with it and ruined stealth entirely.
I was only able to find just one more of your build i.e. the knuckles god build. You didn't make more than 2 builds dude.
So OP sniper/spear build. Your thumbnail and title didn’t say anything about including a sniper rifle. Clickbait is not cool dude.
eyyy got here early
