    You had made a video about myths, and one was that you don’t need a dually. Well in this video you said your tires are balding under 30k miles, well a dually (for us anyways) we have an f450 and the tires on that have gotten well over 80k on them and I’m just now ordering new. We use it for hauling around excavators and tractor loaders for our rentals and dump trailers and a local tractor dealership, maybe not as much weight consistently but definitely getting great west life on a set, and on top having that turning radius of the wide track front end is a lifesaver for 14-16’ dump trailers

      You are definitely right in the sense of wear on tires. but there is 2 times the tires (on rear) and the dually cost more (new prices) the dually puts me in CDL bracket so doesnt make sense based on my business model... Thanks for watching! You also have to figure we use 4x4 alot in winter driving in the snow 4x4 kills tires and front suspension

    I work for a full scale garbage company, and run roll off occasionally. At least 50% of the cans we pick up are over filled. Sometimes the stuff is still contained by the walls of the can, and the tarp, so we can haul it. But anything that might bounce out during transit is getting set in the customers yard/driveway. Once you leave the site it’s your ticket if things fly out.

    I started with 1-3 day rentals, I’m at 1-2 weeks now, customers like it much better and don’t normally keep them that long.

      most of our customers are the same. alot of people get into this business thinking that short term rentals will work and I just do not see it for the majority of people

      I really want to dive in and start my own business but I know nothing about running a business and that is what has kept me from trying. How did you learn what all is entailed to get going? I appreciate any advice or direction.

    Cant you just keep the cc onfile and charge them for the unwanted items or the overfill?

    Great video Justin. I had no major surprises when I Is added dumpsters to my business. The one thing I think newcomers newcomers to the business they need to understand is the true numbers on running the business they need to learn how to become a bookkeeper or accountant and understand the numbers So they can understand if they are really making a profit or not And trying to be the cheapest guy to get all the business will not make you successful.

    What dumpster sizes cross over to CDL please.

    • @hhprogressiveconstruction1140
      @hhprogressiveconstruction1140 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Usually 30 , 40 yard containers are the heavy trucks that require double axle trucks 🛻 . You can use 20 yard container an under if you do not haul dirt , concrete , roofing shingles etc to stay under truck and trailer Dot weight .

      CDL restrictions are based on GVWR not necessarily dumpster size but 20 yard is our biggest
