Like to see how you are using square with Docket. Is it a lot of double entry?

I bet you’re right, on keeping someone by or on the phone, also they can handle routing trucks and inventory coming and going. That is a big job, but it’s where money is made.

It is the most important part! I know we lose business because of it! Hopefully we almost eliminate it this year!

Started a brand new Business in February of 2021 with a single 15 yard dump trailer to test the market. I set a goal of 2-3 trailers in year 1 and 100 rentals. One thing led to another, now I have 4 trailers, and a hooklift truck with 2 roll offs. (I know financially it’s a little silly to have 2 trucks, dump trailers and roll offs at this size, but is what it is right now)
Ended up doing 200 rentals in 2021, looking to do at least 350 this year and get up to 6 roll offs and keep the 4 dump trailers for now. Should be able to break the 100k in gross sales mark this year, thank you for sharing what you’re doing and giving us an idea of where the business can go.

That is awesome! having an extra truck gives you room to grow and peace of mind if something were to break! I think you have set a realistic goal and i hope you crush your goals this year!

What would the growth percentage be to the number of dumpsters you have this year compared to last year?

That is a good question. So we had 18 on jan of 21 and 40 on jan of 22. we dont have a full sample from 2020 because we bought in march. but dumpster number increased by 2.22X we say 300 dumpster year for 20 and we did 705 in 21 which is 2.35X you just taught me something!

Great video Justin. I have to agree when you missed that 1st initial phone call greatly reduces the chance of booking with you and I think it could be greater than 50%.
I think the reason why most of the new dumpster companies that fail is because They don't realize that it takes 4 or 5 dumpster at least just too break even depending on your fixed and variable costs per rental. Most people don't realize how expensive It is to run a legitimate business.

I completely agree! i wish i could figure out exactly how many missed phone calls turn to rentals but it would be so hard to know
