Another possibly unknown mechanic for Atlas: He has a small time window before gaining cc immunity in his ult so you can use a flameshot to mess him up or natan 2nd skill. This one should be a known fact. Now for the unknown: Atlas also has a tiny delay (literally 0,1s) between his cc immunity and Harpoon throw state. I call this the calculation stage where Atlas ult searches for enemies. This basically means you can stand in the middle of ling's ult, immune his airborne and catch him as he lands before he can even use a dash. Did this twice a row in classic, where i tested this theory and it worked. Im certain that ling was flabbergasted lmao. Practice the timing. @@andreicaritativo2022 took me f-ing 1100+ games to find a new way on how to play against Ling as Ling is just.... killing your teammates and running away just as quick and theres nothing you can do. *HEADS UP!* theres a BUG, on Atlas ult, a really, really BAD BUG.... if you use 2nd skill and immediately ult and release the button as you normally would (just swipe it) the ult will hold even though nothing is touching the screen of your device! Devs need to know this one asap. The solution is to just double swipe the ult asap, the speed of making a set will remain the same because you have just enough time to swipe again as Atlas does his animation. The bad thing is this makes it very stressful and frustrating. The bug SHOULDN'T occur if you dont use ur 2nd skill while ulting so a simple flicker + ult should work properly. I tried this on 2 devices of mine and can confirm this bug exists, so its not my touch screen or anything. Thank God as i have a new high end device lol

Now instead of pre-aiming the second skill indicator backward and flicker what if you aim it to enemy positions directly and flicker, what’s the difference?
This combo has shorter animation time duration and has more chance to catch the enemy off guard. While, the 2nd skill towards enemy + flicker has this brief animation that will give the enemies time to react. See it for yourself in practice mode 😉
Actually any direction of skill 2 will do with flicker. Just have to do it fast and aim in the enemy direction. Distance is the same. Not more than a turret span.
@@arsalanph7 If you're aware that you'll make mistakes, then don't touch atlas until you have the instinct of making a decent set ingrained in your head.
Oh that's why there's been a surge of atlas lately. Well they've been catching a lot of enemies right now with the ult but the downside is no teammate were near them. I was like there goes Atlas again going to the enemies without backup😅😅😅 now I understand that they might be trying or performing this combo.
I'm doing that trick since they released his starlight skin but I didn't do it in rank only in the classic,I thought that was a bug at that time, till now they didn't fix it 😅 maybe it wasn't really a bug after all 😂
The actual reason why it works, is that Atlas splits in 2, and only the front part is that actual dash direction. By how it's coded, Atlas just dashes towards the direction he's facing, rather than extend the range of the flicker
Actually you don’t have to use his skill 2 facing backward b4 flicker towards the enemy direction. I tried all direction; backward/forward/left/right & then flicker towards the enemy it still works.
Hypothetical Explanation: Skill: “Perfect Match” has a dash upon cast, the momentum from the dash gets added onto Flicker extending the distance covered by the skill. Flicker also rotates your Hero towards the direction where you dashed, this also explains how the momentum gets transfered and the instant-proc of “Perfect Match”
The reason this happens is that the armor that Atlas wears will be thrown in the opposite direction (because his main body "the octopus" will be ejected towards your second skill cast direction") and thus it acts as the main point of your flicker cast range. Seems fair to me but kinda broken when you think about it.
At last, it's time to shine. /At long last it is my time to shine. I totally forgot when he use the ult he was back to his body and stun the enemy. It was just like Tigreal but Atlas require his 2nd skill to proc. the stun and prevent enemy from escaping his chains.
I've been playing Atlas for a long time and I never would've thought of using this trick before. I kept using S2 conceal for diving and not waste the flicker just to do this, better safe than sorry. I also have major issue when using him was his tankyness because I kept losing HP so much that I'm no longer want to use him unless in right condition, so why is my Atlas became squishy in the early game unlike other tanks I've used?
People are saying this trick provides less reaction time for enemy due to faster casting animation. But ig gotta verify that in practice mode. Otherwise it'll just be another freestyle move
But it's a waste of 2nd skill stun tbh. I'd rather hide in bush and wait for a 5 man catch and flicker in and ult, *THEN* use my 2nd skill after my ult to prolong the stun on the enemy. That could also be extend when after a successful 2nd skill stun again that atlas passive will activate and my basic attack will froze the enemy again. That distance could actually still be achieved by the battle spell of the roamer boots of conceal anyway. (I'm a roamer main so i tend to not use flashy but short lived combo but rather that would actually help my team in a much prolonged way that's much safer to do without risking it all in just one way or another, as if my ult fails, i could use my conceal or skill 2 to get away from a bad position after all) I'm a diggie main but i know how to play all the support and tanks. Its basically the same distance as using second and flicker, the only thing is the vessel is looking at a different direction, confusing opponents
Finally a big advantage me in exp lane
Atlas will be on top when he can do ult then flicker because he can catch the enemy and take away farther specially when tower diving sets
