Slow pushing is news to me and I find that very effective to force the enemy team to have -1 member for teamfights. The only downside I can think of about this strategy is if your team is unable to take objectives or get kills, especially when late game heroes from the enemy team manages to clear the lane you slow pushed on which results to them getting their core items much faster.
Actually youll only use that strat before lord dance. To set up a possible minion push right after killing the lord. So even if you lose in lord dance theyll be able to buy you time to respawn or take down 1turret.
Additional tips: Minion Hold - This applies when the damage dealer in your team dies or is late in arriving in his lane, try to hold the enemy minions outside the range of your tower so that your damage dealers can still get the gold and exp from that minion wave. (Remember, your damage dealers have the priority in Gold and Exp in order to scale. Without them, you'll lack damage in team fights, so be sure to prioritize giving the resources to them) Another application of cutting the minions - When the enemy team tries to push a lane, you can cut the minion waves in order to prevent or delay that push. It is much safer if you do this with a hero that has high mobility. This usually happens when the enemy team got the Lord and they try to push the towers all the way to your base. Try to cut the minions and escape. (Remember, it is difficult to push a tower without minions. So this is vital.) Use the minions to block skills - there are certain skills that can't go through minions. Use this as an advantage against your enemy. For example, an enemy franco is hiding in the bush in your lane. Use the minions to block the hook.
@@whoasked3677imo, minions still reduces valir cooldown, so it's better to bait his skil at safe distancel and dodge, so the skill passive goes completely ineffective
I’ve known all these strats except the slow pushing one, cuz in my mind I don’t really like wasting the siege minions cuz they’re the most valuable xD probably near end-mid to late game is best to do this strategy where teamfights are more prevalent
Maybe i would like to add 1 more as a roamer main, maybe i call it "Saving Minion" so, its just freezing the enemy minion with intention so that your gold lane ally did actually get the gold and exp from the minion, especially the siege minion, it can be used when the gold lane dies or recall. This act usually done near tower since you are very vurnerable and you can let go of the minion once your teammate is near, also making them clear it faster with the help of turret
Slow Pushing is one of the strategies I often do, it's not actually slow but it delays the minion wave to stack and win your minion wave against the lane. And also I learned that Lord spawns together with minion wave hahahaha. Shout out po
Actually it's called slow pushing cuz the name originated from the League of Legends community. They slow push for the same reason as we do on ML but the way they do it is different, which is by only last hitting the minions. The minion timings in both lol and ml are different so the slow push methods are different.

You forgot to mention most noob junglers minion strategy " Clear minions waves without the teammates guarding the lane as fast as possible so they don't get gold or exp "
There's also the Gord strategy: Throw your 2nd and 1st on the minion wave and go for the gank. Its a Shove + near zero map presence. Just gonna need to time it right of course.
One more addition is managing the minion waves when the opponent has the lord. Freezing some lanes so that the lord wont be in sync with the minion waves is also a crucial strategy to prevent high ground from collapsing
im occasionaly play ixia and for me as an ixia player. having minion while your lane up to 3 enemies ganking you early game. Minion Targeting: As a roamer like tig can get enemy minions to attack him while the allied minions push, If an allied player arrives you can kill the minions giving them rescource while the allied minions push.
2 more minnion tips 1. Roamers can help 'freezing' the lane if the gold/mid/exp laner died near thm, to help secure gold n exp 2. Last hitting gives extra gold , no matter which strategy ur using, always time ur basic atk to last hit (mistake on Elgin's part whn he's showing freezing lanes)
I personally found out about slow pushing from playing wild rift as wave management was an integral part to ranking up in that game. Been using it in ML to divide enemies in lord fights
2:00 this is not freeze lane, this is minion zoning. U push the enemy away from ur minion so they can get gold or exp. different from freeze lane where u let enemy kill ur minion, enemy minion will push the lane, and u stop the enemy minion before they get hit by ur tower. Why u do freeze lane? Because it will force ur enemy to come closer to ur side to get gold and exp, make it easier for ur jungler to gank the enemy in ur lane
Another i want to mention is that when you are exp lane and using jawhead you can use second skill on siege minion to Your own tower back right at the time when enemies minion launch their attack while your siege minion is last hit. This make your enemy cannot get the exp from the siege minion
Midlane, when you are ahead and their midlaner goes back to lane when turtle is almost up, dont clear wave and show yourself in the map. You just wait for their midlaner, to go back and burst out their hp with your skills(no need to commit and kill or use your ult), so they have one less person helping in objective. If they don't go back even with low hp, that midlaner is free to kill after your skill cooldown ends. (But you can only do this if the midlaner doesn't know your position. So, after bursting them the first time, you must back away immediately and go to a different hiding position to where they are most likely to go.
2:08 this is what I used on Layla when I'm on goldlane especially when they have higher damage than me (also Layla's first skill is useful to clear minions while not getting near on your first minions)
i learned almost half of these just from seeing my enemy using them and i also started using them, you don't have to resort to yt, just see how and why the enemy defeated you (regardless of shitty teammates or none of your teammates ganking your lane while the enemy team is somewhat always ganking your lane)
Another tips: Slow Lord : this is when you get the lord BUT dont clear the Lane where the Lord went to. Since the Lord turns the minion into enhanced minions. So if your team doesnt clear the Lord's lane essentially you'll have 2 wave of enhanced minions (simultaneously) instead of 1 by 1. (NOTE: It only Works for top and bottom lane, tho it can actually works for midlane if the enemy didn't kill the Lord fast enough.)
here are more heroes you shouldn't fight with minions: Hanabi- can gete free hits on you even when you are far And and is a disadvantage when you 1v1 her bc of her ricochet passive Silvanna - with her ulti and 2nd skill combo, her spell vamp increases so she heals more with minions Dyrroth - he gets more of his passive and health with lifesteal build Khaleed, balmond,yu zhong, terizla - same with ruby and alpha shown in the video (only when he has lifesteal build) Alice and thamuz - with their ulti will gain massive hp Odette - same with hanabi with her passive Selena - inf dashes Bruno - same with hanabi with his ult Moskov - same with hanabi but instead of ricochet, his hits can pierce with the minions and gain him some health when he has lifesteal Layla and Melissa - they can freehit you because of their skill 1s and layla with her passive due to her skill one grants her the ability to have morr range when you are clearing minion waves Beatrix - she can use renner like layla and melissa Belerick and gatot - basically a free passive farm (will work more with lord buffed and enhanced minions)
*My best strategy is basketball style. Make sure that my teammates distracts the enemy heroes to gather while I push lane. That way, I can push lane without enemy hero appeared on my lane. Use teamfight for distracting enemy heroes but don’t ever overuse it.*
One thing i like to do with lord is to let it clear waves so its up longer and creates more stronger waves u can get mainly 3 strong waves and 4 if u really prevent the enemy from killing lord
I do all of this strategy except for grock block, however the slow push strategy are the one I didn't do because of gold advantages.. But I gonna do it alot after listening to your explanation, it's seem OP.. 😂
(exp lane) If u want to push the enemy tower while their dead but the minions are far away, u can do this strategy by lane cutting, by rotating between the towers and wait for the minons and kill them. This way u can push the tower with ease
4:23 shouldn't it be every 10 and 40 seconds of each minute? also i think slow pushing is best used 3 to 4 waves before you do lord dance on the opposite lane. you'll have a good amount of minions on the opposing lane when lord dance comes.
For the last one add Hanabi cause it increases her range sometimes Atleast either be on the enemy side of the minion or just snipe the low hp minion while she clear it and try to avoid the bounce
I just found out the v2 of freezing lane and it is very helpful i tried it while using zilong against an alpha user and it helped out a lot in early even while getting ganked
Im the fan of freezing lane method 2, method 1 is too risky in my opinion, they can gank you easily cause you are too far from the save zone (turret) method 2 is very save and my team can easily gank cause of they are focusing on the minion beside they are far away from their turret if they try to take their minion.
Correction, minion waves spawn at :11 and :41. It used to be :10 and :40. Each minion spawns every second, the first one appears at :11/41, second one at :12/42, third one at :13/43. Lord will spawn after the last minion, so it will spawn at :14/44. Additionally, it takes around 15s for mid minions to reach mid of the map, 20s for side lanes. Minion waves spawns every 30s, use this knowledge to gain advantage.
In case you have a teammate dead after getting the lord, depending on the respawn timer don't clear the wave the lord is in so that you can have a 5 person teamfight with the lord.
Minions can save your life if ur using lifesteal build, like when I use Balmond, for the Minion wave to come before i ambush. And it definitely work!! So, when u ambush, make sure to wait for minion wave
If you play dota, you can learn how to control minions -also the freeze lane v2 is rare since you can only do it with weak in early heroes allowing the enemy to think you are weak and dont know how to play your hero so theyll either ignore you since theyll be bored or theyll think you are an easy kill. Minsi is the best example for this strat, just hook everyone who gets close and/or contain them inside your 3rd skill while tower do the damage to them which works to all greedy ruby users.
@@MarkIsTiredAlways not on this meta, minsi really has the edge provided that all his skills are available, meanwhile ruby has less cd and spammable skills and also do remember its a 5v5 so you get to prio other heroes to use your ult than using it on ruby
My team always uses an imba strat which is called Power Creeps. Basically they play with zero map awareness just like regular creeps. All they see is their lane, they dont help with objectives, and dont even bother going back to base when low in hp(just like regular creeps oh yeah). And they just die like regular creeps, throwing themselves to the enemy 1 vs 5. They only use their skills to ks, their ult is saved so they can use it next game.
It's not 30 and 10 it's 40 and ten of each minute, which means if rn it's 8 min and 42 sec then the next minion wave will come at 9 min 10 sec and if it's 9 min 12 sec then the next minion wave will come at 9:40
Freeze lane is also called gap your opponent in lane you will not hit the enemy minions and be aggressive to your lane opponent until the hero goes to own turret similar to bullying a aldous lvl 1
I would mention lancelot in the heroes and minions, since his passive and first skill can be fully utilized with more targets. If my team lancelot is ready to attack, i wanna make sure theres minions for him so i wont clear it before teamfights.
Yes, if you don’t time the slow push well, instead of creating pressure, it just gives them free gold and denies your team from gold
Actually youll only use that strat before lord dance. To set up a possible minion push right after killing the lord. So even if you lose in lord dance theyll be able to buy you time to respawn or take down 1turret.
I've seen this in the pro League....most common team I often watched for strategy was BL....but that was before when Veewise was still there....

Please note some of these advice will be hard to apply to some heroes as some are better at one job than the other.
Stay safe in early game guys!
Nah thats pszsy sit open war at level 1 😈🙏😼👍
I personally found out about slow pushing from playing wild rift as wave management was an integral part to ranking up in that game. Been using it in ML to divide enemies in lord fights
Addition to Grock's wall, you can do that on a specific lane e.g. your team EXP Lane when they are being dominated by the enemy exp laner.
6:33 dont forget hanabi because her basic attack bounces on the player and the minions which deals more damage
A perfect video for those need an upper rank like me, thanks Elgin😊
Slow pushing is something I didn't think of. It looks really useful.
As an argus main, i am pretty satisfied with this. ❤❤❤
This is very informative. because a lot of player have no idea how much it helps when you have knowledge on this minion management tricks.
2:08 this is what I used on Layla when I'm on goldlane especially when they have higher damage than me (also Layla's first skill is useful to clear minions while not getting near on your first minions)
Despite knowing all of these, I love the fact Elgin actually makes a video for this. Hopefully more players will improve thanks to Elgin
i learned almost half of these just from seeing my enemy using them and i also started using them, you don't have to resort to yt, just see how and why the enemy defeated you (regardless of shitty teammates or none of your teammates ganking your lane while the enemy team is somewhat always ganking your lane)
Another tips:
Slow Lord : this is when you get the lord BUT dont clear the Lane where the Lord went to. Since the Lord turns the minion into enhanced minions. So if your team doesnt clear the Lord's lane essentially you'll have 2 wave of enhanced minions (simultaneously) instead of 1 by 1. (NOTE: It only Works for top and bottom lane, tho it can actually works for midlane if the enemy didn't kill the Lord fast enough.)
very nice video, i will add that odette can use 2nd skill to minions to have 100% that it will hit an enemy hero, i use it a lot
here are more heroes you shouldn't fight with minions:
Hanabi- can gete free hits on you even when you are far And and is a disadvantage when you 1v1 her bc of her ricochet passive
Silvanna - with her ulti and 2nd skill combo, her spell vamp increases so she heals more with minions
Dyrroth - he gets more of his passive and health with lifesteal build
Khaleed, balmond,yu zhong, terizla - same with ruby and alpha shown in the video (only when he has lifesteal build)
Alice and thamuz - with their ulti will gain massive hp
Odette - same with hanabi with her passive
Selena - inf dashes
Bruno - same with hanabi with his ult
Moskov - same with hanabi but instead of ricochet, his hits can pierce with the minions and gain him some health when he has lifesteal
Layla and Melissa - they can freehit you because of their skill 1s and layla with her passive due to her skill one grants her the ability to have morr range when you are clearing minion waves
Beatrix - she can use renner like layla and melissa
Belerick and gatot - basically a free passive farm (will work more with lord buffed and enhanced minions)
*My best strategy is basketball style. Make sure that my teammates distracts the enemy heroes to gather while I push lane. That way, I can push lane without enemy hero appeared on my lane. Use teamfight for distracting enemy heroes but don’t ever overuse it.*
Quality to pre ah. More of these in the future 💯
One thing i like to do with lord is to let it clear waves so its up longer and creates more stronger waves u can get mainly 3 strong waves and 4 if u really prevent the enemy from killing lord
This veido is really helpful even I'm in Matic Gelory I don't know about minions that much thanks for this veido
I do all of this strategy except for grock block, however the slow push strategy are the one I didn't do because of gold advantages..
But I gonna do it alot after listening to your explanation, it's seem OP.. 😂
Thanks. I always do the freeze version 2, also effective in exp and gold lane that have no support from allies 👌
Thanks for the guide Mr. Elgin
Don’t fight Hanabi when you’re with minions. Better to Solo with no allies.
That freeze lane v2 is effective late game when you're losing too. But that needs more attention
For the last one add Hanabi cause it increases her range sometimes
Atleast either be on the enemy side of the minion or just snipe the low hp minion while she clear it and try to avoid the bounce
I needed this thank you sm
Best video so far❤❤
I just found out the v2 of freezing lane and it is very helpful i tried it while using zilong against an alpha user and it helped out a lot in early even while getting ganked
This video was seriously needed
Very useful tips. Thank you
Im the fan of freezing lane method 2, method 1 is too risky in my opinion, they can gank you easily cause you are too far from the save zone (turret) method 2 is very save and my team can easily gank cause of they are focusing on the minion beside they are far away from their turret if they try to take their minion.
Yup I do this with thamus and alpha so the enemy tank mage and jungler shift to exp lane😂. Our mm farms peacefully.
If this is happening to you I would suggest to do a lane cut and rotate
Thank i buff-gin for that knowledge. Btw U did bulk than cut or str8 to cut ?
as a minsitthar main, freeze lane is my favorite strat because it's normal they'll hide from me in the tower
Thank you for the tips 😊
JH's Launcher skill. If you successfully made your opponent retreat in the early game, shove your Siege minion into their tower using his second skill
Finally I'm waiting for this cuz i always do this things
Never do Lane Cutting When Your Opponent is Aldous
Why?
@@justatimepassguy1611 You let him have a free minion to stack
@@MesakPlayz oh I just asked I know I also not let him have stacks when using dyr
Freezing lane vs Aldous is more suitable
@@VaderDeCastro-no9ng yes
My tips when using dyrroth, 1v1 near the minions can gain more life steal so you can survive more
Remember your enemies are also watching this
Meanwhile my allies are still watching cocomelon😂
Doesn't minsi win against ruby in laning phase?
@@MarkIsTiredAlways not on this meta, minsi really has the edge provided that all his skills are available, meanwhile ruby has less cd and spammable skills and also do remember its a 5v5 so you get to prio other heroes to use your ult than using it on ruby
With these strategies, I can secure more victories from now on.
4:23 I didn't understand the 30 second and 10 second timer. Could you clarify?
It's not 30 and 10 it's 40 and ten of each minute, which means if rn it's 8 min and 42 sec then the next minion wave will come at 9 min 10 sec and if it's 9 min 12 sec then the next minion wave will come at 9:40
I do this when i use exp for early game I thought many already knows this I guess only few now u know goodluck winning 😊❤
Has Elgin been hitting the gym hard lately? He's buffed now
