I usually start buying the roam around the 9 min mark since the stack points on the roamer is almost full.. what's annoying is when the the player don't know about this trick and they just sell their roaming boots because I also buy it... 😂 And as a mage user I usually unlock the dire hit giving me more damage in the late game....

But i atleast managed to be in a rank top leader brugge i always end up top 10 somehow. Its the minimum i can achieve while playing alot. And when i lose i always keep faith and dont ask me how i get it. I just have it. Even when it causes me to keep losing cause no one truly knows my style of playing. Sometimes when im that lucky i have 5 enemy players while im alone and surviving. Alice, angela, 😅 i avoided them alot cause they kept defending that group. And when i came out alive while the randoms chose to help. It was just on time. I will never forget that moment again.

the roamer can sell the roamer boots ( after activating the skill ), and buy a normal boot .. The roaming gold will count for the second roamer .. The main roamer buy the roaming boots again after the second roamer activates his skill .. Now you have 2 activated roaming skills in ur team

One of the biggest misconception even at pro matches is the favor roam boots. Even pro players but it on self shielding heroes like harith and esme BUT it will not trigger the favor heal because it will only trigger using shields/heals that affect your teammates. Examples are lolita and mathilda shield. Self shield heroes cannot trigger the favor heal unless they use revitalize
It's not a misconception, gold laners picks the favor boots for extra gold. They know they won't be able to unlock it because they're expected to put a lot of damage, followed by mages. Pro scene are really good at playing safe especially in MPL PH, no teamfight is happening everytime, mostly are calculated team fights or force error

Roam blessings is actually a very interesting feature. You can change your roam blessings without resetting the gold gain. So during late game you can change your roam blessings back and forth with the cost of 700-800 golds (depends with which boots are you buying). Usually you could initiate with conceal and change it to encourage, or if you're a damage type, you can use conceal and change it to dire hit.

This should work with heroes that can't dominate late game but relies on poking or the "Dive-Damage-Retreat" setups that lets the team do the last hitting kills.

Except Favor, the rest are fine. Remember, DON'T USE FAVOR on NON-HEALING HERO. Here's why: Passive: Every 15s, *the next time the hero casts a healing or shield skill,* which means you need to heal someone, instead of normal self-healing or Lifesteal/Spell Vamp. So if you are playing Beatrix or Lunox, it will be useless. I just try it out, it doesn't work at all. Edited: Except you have Revitalize (1st like btw)

I have suggested this one to the devs! BOOT ENCHANTMENTS on mid to late game. Boots system is kinda underwhelming when you’re fully build thus making others to sell their boots for an extra slot. Enhancing it for a new skill makes the game more exciting. Though i also suggested to move Wind Chant and Frozen Crown’s passive for boots enchantment. It will give an extra slot to your build.
My usual go at it is Roamers do this in the begining of the game. At 5 minute mark, when jungler can collect lane without penalty, the Mid laner will also go roam. Other laners do the next one at 8 minutes to avoid the roam penalty.
4:40 is not a bug, your roam took the assist gold since they ~most likely~ have lower gold than you. Your test in 5:00 is different since you've done the test before the 8-min mark so both roams have Thriving unique passive still working (whoever has the higher gold doesn't matter before the 8-min mark so you both get "Thriving" gold).
5:39 I buy roam boots in 6 minutes. I think roamers can unlock their chosen roam afterwards without any issue while it'll be easier for me to collect roam and has a higher chance of unlocking it
There's one problem with buying roaming boots before the 8 min mark, you won't be getting any gold or exp from your minion waves if your teammates are nearby until minute 8. Sometimes some players would gank your lane and then wouldn't leave until they done clearing your wave so you may end up losing farm that way 😂 8 minute roaming boots is the safest and most effective way for other laners to buy roam in that case.

im ngl, this trick is pretty cool, but i feel like most of the casual playerbase (meaning non-professional) don't need to do this because, the extra roam effect is not very impactful, or at least as impactful as learning how to lane better, learning hero matchups, recognising hero synergy and power spikes. it really doesn't matter if my exp laner has encourage if our backline keeps getting jumped and we don't know what to do about it. the reason pros do it is because at that level, every little bit counts. in casual play? the ability to not rage and act recklessly ingame is already an advantage.

You can't get gold from minions if teammates visits and worse, if your roamer visits, the gold will actually just go to waste and no one gets the gold.
Assuming that you're not getting a single lane visit from your teammates, and there's a chance that all three turtles could spawn at the EXP Lane, players will typically gank your lane and walla you're the one out of gold, also it's not guaranteed that the mid and gold laner and even the jungler won't get gapped to the point they become the poorest one of the team which makes both you and the actual roamer broke asf, having your team's economy crumble
There's a cap of 1500 roaming gold in a team so to get the blessing quickly its better to juat buy roam as soon as your roamer's blessing is unlocked. Thriving also gives gold to the lowest even if you are not the lowest. Meaning if your gold is higher than roamer, your thriving will give them gold instead. The missing gold and additional gold thing is not a bug, its just a case of confusing wording on the item
Lol, i've already been doing this since the start of roaming boots. I'm just baffled it only got noticed now. Whether i play as a mage, gold or exp, i always make sure to buy a roaming boots after 8 mins. The additional ability of the roaming boots after it gets unlocked is a big help even though you are not a roamer.
Moonton already nerfed the first half by disabling multiple roaming boots active skill for iirc 60 seconds so im wondering how they would nerf encourage and dire hit

From experience with the double roaming thing. You don't have to be the one with lowest gold to gain the Passive Roaming Gold, you just need to be lowest among anyone else that has Roaming boots

I've found out about this feature waaaay ahead before this video. I always do this to my Eudora (Dire Hit) only after the 8-minute mark and ONLY if the roamer's roaming boots buff has been unlocked. It gives me more oomph in every combo, ensuring that the lone target is killed.
Second skills defense reduction finna go hard with the 9% max HP Magic damage but I don't like it on a single or double target killer maybe on someone like novaria and xavier
If there 2 roaming boots, there be slower upgrading on the first roaming boots ability. Its only effective if the roamer's roaming boots is conceal. Cos u dont really need a max level conceal roam, you just need the invisibility. But if the roamer use, say, dire hit, they getting slower on getting max dire hit damage. U may also notice that most roamers in MPL are using conceal.
As a mage user, I will always buy roam boots whether we are advantage/disadvantage. And some of my random teammates wonder why I always roam boots at 8mins. This explain well. Thanks Elgin ❤
I think that the best for most games is the red roaming buff ngl That shi gives extra attack and attack speed to ur teamates if u are close to them (at teamfights) Maybe not the best depending on which roamer the team got, but definitely a great buff for the fighter/mage of the team to boost ur allies

I've been using this strat since the introduction of that roamer passive. As a constant roaming mid laner, I find it hard to keep up with exp and gold. Whenever I come back to mid after roaming, I often lose an enemy minion or two, so no gold or exp for me and so I always buy the roaming boots after the 8 min mark. Been doing thi strategy ever since the old roaming mask got replaced, and can really say that the unlocking part is really buggy with no clear explanation because sometimes it unlocks, sometimes not.
There's a trick to this roaming boots (Mask) .. when you have 2 MM just let them Lane in Gold and the tank/fighter/sustain shall Lane in the EXP without your core visiting.. so if your mage is a fast moving like pharsa, you can visit the Gold lane with 2 MM and help in turtle .. but note all ally heroes shall leave the exp alone until 5 minute mark
There's a big misconception between buying before 8 mins and after 8 mins. If you buy before 8 mins is a different strategy where you feed your hyper more gold for hyper to get a good gold lead where it becomes an issue if hyper dies too much. If you buy after 8 mins it doesn't affect your gold or gameplay only granting you chance to gain roamer abilities
if i remember correctly, the max roamer gold per team is 1500, so the reason you werent getting gold could be that your team max roam gold was maxxed. this also means when you are taking 600 gold to get a second roamer buff, you are weakening your allied roamer's buff because it scales with your gold. i dont suggest doing this strategy

The thing is that the roam gold is shared with everyone who buys the boots, so you'd need 2 or even 3 times as many assists, and since you only unlock the skill after 600 gold, it could take a long time

Ive been doing this for months now and my team keep complaining me to sell it. There are many times when mid lane went to gank the side and either jungle or the other side come and farm my lane. Ofc im gonna be poor. Buying roam will give me extra gold and a chance to unlock dire hit, which will help compensate my damage a little

Summary If you're new or can't follow the video (If your the actual roamer you dont need to do this ) If you're not the roam or jungle On the 8 min mark, you can buy any of the roam buff that you or your team may need, and to keep in mind not to go below the actual roamer's gold as you'll be delaying your roamer's buff To get the roam upgrade without hindering the actual roamer, you have to get assists in order to unlock your roam buff (kills doesn't count when you try to upgrade the roam buff) Favor buff only works if you can "heal or shield others" (bringing revitalise just so you can get this buff, imo is not worth it) (Heroes who can shield/heal: angela, mathilda, rafaela, estes, diggie, floryn, minotaur, lolita)
I use this when I'm playing, but one time my teammate started feeding because they didn't understand what i was doing, since then i have stopped doing it. A bit of boost is not worth having a troll in ur team
its worth it because having a troll on your team is just pure rng(luck based if you get someone with a discombobulated brain as a teammate) that person probably had brain damage, like what was their thought process. the only exception to getting favor is if you have revitalize, but even then you’re activating favor every 80 sec

I have suggested this one to the devs! BOOT ENCHANTMENTS on mid to late game. Boots system is kinda underwhelming when you’re fully build thus making others to sell their boots for an extra slot. Enhancing it for a new skill makes the game more exciting. Though i also suggested to move Wind Chant and Frozen Crown’s passive for boots enchantment. It will give an extra slot to your build.

My usual go at it is Roamers do this in the begining of the game. At 5 minute mark, when jungler can collect lane without penalty, the Mid laner will also go roam. Other laners do the next one at 8 minutes to avoid the roam penalty.

4:40 is not a bug, your roam took the assist gold since they ~most likely~ have lower gold than you. Your test in 5:00 is different since you've done the test before the 8-min mark so both roams have Thriving unique passive still working (whoever has the higher gold doesn't matter before the 8-min mark so you both get "Thriving" gold).
I think this should be only used when in late game but the problem is that we never know the future

5:39 I buy roam boots in 6 minutes. I think roamers can unlock their chosen roam afterwards without any issue while it'll be easier for me to collect roam and has a higher chance of unlocking it
There's one problem with buying roaming boots before the 8 min mark, you won't be getting any gold or exp from your minion waves if your teammates are nearby until minute 8.
Sometimes some players would gank your lane and then wouldn't leave until they done clearing your wave so you may end up losing farm that way 😂 8 minute roaming boots is the safest and most effective way for other laners to buy roam in that case.

im ngl, this trick is pretty cool, but i feel like most of the casual playerbase (meaning non-professional) don't need to do this because, the extra roam effect is not very impactful, or at least as impactful as learning how to lane better, learning hero matchups, recognising hero synergy and power spikes. it really doesn't matter if my exp laner has encourage if our backline keeps getting jumped and we don't know what to do about it. the reason pros do it is because at that level, every little bit counts. in casual play? the ability to not rage and act recklessly ingame is already an advantage.

You can't get gold from minions if teammates visits and worse, if your roamer visits, the gold will actually just go to waste and no one gets the gold.
Assuming that you're not getting a single lane visit from your teammates, and there's a chance that all three turtles could spawn at the EXP Lane, players will typically gank your lane and walla you're the one out of gold, also it's not guaranteed that the mid and gold laner and even the jungler won't get gapped to the point they become the poorest one of the team which makes both you and the actual roamer broke asf, having your team's economy crumble
Short answer is because tank roam item of sharing no gold with teammate ended so exp buy it to get additionally buff for the team and himself.
There's a cap of 1500 roaming gold in a team so to get the blessing quickly its better to juat buy roam as soon as your roamer's blessing is unlocked.
Thriving also gives gold to the lowest even if you are not the lowest. Meaning if your gold is higher than roamer, your thriving will give them gold instead.
The missing gold and additional gold thing is not a bug, its just a case of confusing wording on the item
Lol, i've already been doing this since the start of roaming boots. I'm just baffled it only got noticed now. Whether i play as a mage, gold or exp, i always make sure to buy a roaming boots after 8 mins. The additional ability of the roaming boots after it gets unlocked is a big help even though you are not a roamer.

From experience with the double roaming thing. You don't have to be the one with lowest gold to gain the Passive Roaming Gold, you just need to be lowest among anyone else that has Roaming boots

I often doing this, when my team was in a losing side so i(midlaner) decided to give mid creep to core or mm and focusing more on defence and supporting them. But its rarely case 😅

I've found out about this feature waaaay ahead before this video. I always do this to my Eudora (Dire Hit) only after the 8-minute mark and ONLY if the roamer's roaming boots buff has been unlocked. It gives me more oomph in every combo, ensuring that the lone target is killed.
Second skills defense reduction finna go hard with the 9% max HP Magic damage but I don't like it on a single or double target killer maybe on someone like novaria and xavier
If there 2 roaming boots, there be slower upgrading on the first roaming boots ability. Its only effective if the roamer's roaming boots is conceal. Cos u dont really need a max level conceal roam, you just need the invisibility. But if the roamer use, say, dire hit, they getting slower on getting max dire hit damage.
U may also notice that most roamers in MPL are using conceal.
Of course, conceal is the best for setter roam or pick off roam to caught the enemies off guard

I've been using this strat since the introduction of that roamer passive. As a constant roaming mid laner, I find it hard to keep up with exp and gold. Whenever I come back to mid after roaming, I often lose an enemy minion or two, so no gold or exp for me and so I always buy the roaming boots after the 8 min mark. Idk why people are finding it out just now

There's a trick to this roaming boots (Mask) .. when you have 2 MM just let them Lane in Gold and the tank/fighter/sustain shall Lane in the EXP without your core visiting.. so if your mage is a fast moving like pharsa, you can visit the Gold lane with 2 MM and help in turtle .. but note all ally heroes shall leave the exp alone until 5 minute mark

There's a big misconception between buying before 8 mins and after 8 mins. If you buy before 8 mins is a different strategy where you feed your hyper more gold for hyper to get a good gold lead where it becomes an issue if hyper dies too much. If you buy after 8 mins it doesn't affect your gold or gameplay only granting you chance to gain roamer abilities

if i remember correctly, the max roamer gold per team is 1500, so the reason you werent getting gold could be that your team max roam gold was maxxed. this also means when you are taking 600 gold to get a second roamer buff, you are weakening your allied roamer's buff because it scales with your gold. i dont suggest doing this strategy
I tried it today on cecelion. 30 assists and no luck, still couldn't accumulate the 600 gold. It got stuck at 510 and never went higher.
Same thing happened to me with my terizla got 23 assist and never unlock it

The thing is that the roam gold is shared with everyone who buys the boots, so you'd need 2 or even 3 times as many assists, and since you only unlock the skill after 600 gold, it could take a long time

Ive been doing this for months now and my team keep complaining me to sell it. There are many times when mid lane went to gank the side and either jungle or the other side come and farm my lane. Ofc im gonna be poor. Buying roam will give me extra gold and a chance to unlock dire hit, which will help compensate my damage a little

Summary
If you're new or can't follow the video
(If your the actual roamer you dont need to do this )
If you're not the roam or jungle
On the 8 min mark, you can buy any of the roam buff that you or your team may need, and to keep in mind not to go below the actual roamer's gold as you'll be delaying your roamer's buff
To get the roam upgrade without hindering the actual roamer, you have to get assists in order to unlock your roam buff (kills doesn't count when you try to upgrade the roam buff)
Favor buff only works if you can "heal or shield others" (bringing revitalise just so you can get this buff, imo is not worth it)
(Heroes who can shield/heal: angela, mathilda, rafaela, estes, diggie, floryn, minotaur, lolita)
Tips: it will probably not work if you solo rank cuz your team sometimes wants to 1v5 till they all ded
At late game I have my entire team buy boots. 2 encourage, 2 dire hits, and a conceal
I use this when I'm playing, but one time my teammate started feeding because they didn't understand what i was doing, since then i have stopped doing it.
A bit of boost is not worth having a troll in ur team
its worth it because having a troll on your team is just pure rng(luck based if you get someone with a discombobulated brain as a teammate) that person probably had brain damage, like what was their thought process. "hmm I think my teammate is putting themself at a disadvantage by buying roaming boots, let me just troll to put us more at a disadvantage instead of actually trying to win regardless of what my teammate is doing that I dont understand"

But wait. I heard somewhere that the total roamer gold your team can get is 1500. Which means if you have 2 people using roamer boots, no matter how hard you assist, roamer gold 1 + roamer gold 2 will never exceed 1500 gold. Is this true? Because if it is, it will affect the roamer skill quality. Roamer skill at 600 gold is in different quality than roamer skill at 1500 gold.
