      The change is the that, there will no me be any CDM section. The time for exams will change from 4hours one session to 3 hours, number of breaks will increase from one to 2 or more.

    • @brightutom6573
      @brightutom6573 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So if the CDM section is removed, what will be done instead, or would it be just a 3 hours Mcq exam?

    Hello doc please advise me about this recency of practice. If I have done only housemanship and finished in September 2023 but decide not to work again so I can focus and pass my mccqe1 exam before coming to Canada to do the Nac Osce, does it mean that after I’ve passed the exams I can’t match into Carms because I don’t have any recency of practice?

    • @dr.imgabroad1824
      @dr.imgabroad1824  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      HI Dr recency in practice is really important. If you can get it while back home, that will be the best option. You can work while studying for QE1. I studies from Oct to Feb while having a full time job and I passed. SO it is possible. Try to get recency because housemanship isn't really independent practice is it?

  • @MrRajsundar
    @MrRajsundar หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi Dr, does observerships and clinical electives count as recency in practice?

    • @dr.imgabroad1824
      @dr.imgabroad1824  15 วันที่ผ่านมา

      unfortunately no. Sorry. Recency must be independent practice.

    I am a doctor from India…Completed my mbbs and I have got my documents source verified.I am planning to give mccqe1 in feb 2024.I still don’t have a PR but planning to move to Canada in 2024 and apply for 2026 carms matching.My question is will the mccqe1 score of 2024 will be valid for carms matching of 2026 as the pattern gets changed in 2025.

    • @dr.imgabroad1824
      @dr.imgabroad1824  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      If you pass MCCQE1, you score remains valid for good. So, yes. you'd need only recency in practice.

    Hello, I'm currently trying to apply to CARMs as an IMG. I've already passed both the MCCQE1 and NAC OSCE but haven't got my PR status just yet. Is it possible to work as a GP first with a working visa or must I wait for the PR before being able to work as a doctor in Canada. Thank you so much.

    • @bhumwr
      @bhumwr 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@hashalb2433 I only had 4 months to prepare for both the MCCQE1 and NAC OSCE all together. I wouldn’t say that it’s hard as long as you try your best but I did spend every single day studying for 8-10 hours each study session.

    • @dr.imgabroad1824
      @dr.imgabroad1824  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Congratulations on making it through those exams. it is sad that you cannot apply for CaRMS without PR. You can work as a GP but it would not be direct clinical work. You would not be able to see or consult patients independently. You could be a physician assistant and many such jobs but not independent clinical practice.

    • @dr.imgabroad1824
      @dr.imgabroad1824  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      even after you get your PR, you would still have to apply for a match through CaRMS and then residency before working as an IMG, or write the Royal college exams as a specialist Dr
