Hi guys! I am a newbie in puppet building. I'm living a problem about classical head patterns. I use 1/2 inch thickness sponge and contact cement. Usually, the sponge contracts in jaw movements. So I need an ideal pattern for fluid jaw movement without applying too much pressure. What can you suggest me? Thank you so much.
First off we usually like to use 3/4” foam for the head. Try cutting out circle shapes at the mouth corners and patching in some soft foam for added flexibility. This TikTok shows the cheek corners: vm.tiktok.com/ZM8F1Y9Ld/ This might be helpful too: vm.tiktok.com/ZM8F1Lxk5/
