Really appreciating your tutorials! Thank you so much for sharing your skills with us. A couple of questions, is there a video showing how to make an arm sleeve, & the pockets for the removable rods? I figure the sleeve is a nice use of French seams inside, which I have experience with, for a finished look, and I'm figuring 18" roughly finished length. This will be my first puppet with a sleeve, and actual removable arm rods that aren't the elastic loops over the wrists that offer no subtle controls.
I tried chucking up an Allen wrench in the drill. I made sure to leave a big enough opening in the finger tips for the wrench, then inserted the short end and twisted the wires. It worked great, and you only have to touch the chuck once!

Great idea for another video!

Great tip!
I will be teaching series of classes and I should have some parts finish.
Nice!
Sorry for pestering you guys with all these questions: Which gauge/thickness are you using for the aluminum wire here?
The wire we used is .1144 gauge 1lb aluminum. It’s a little thick, but it makes the fingers sturdy but flexible.
Ummm. I have 1 hand working so...can I use my thighs to hold drill?
No. I will figure this out
No.
Where do you get the soft foam?
Puppetpelts.com
would paper clips work?
No, they are too small.
