    Hey Laz. Your production level is getting better and better! The Rode microphone sounds great, the video transitions are engaging without being distractive from the verbiage. Very informative. I love having my dwarf hair grass carpet 🙂

    For the viewers it would make more sense if the segment names in the video were the plant names instead of "Carpeting Plant #2" etc...Might not be suspenseful but helps navigate the information.

      Yeah I was debating between numbering the plants or labelling. the chapters with plant names. I'll pin a comment of time stamps with plant names to help! Thanks for the feedback mate!

    People will call me mad but I would say 100% Monte Carlo as easy to carpet!
    I've got some great carpets of Monte Carlo with NO C02. You just need a Good light, Aquasoil and/or ferts!

    • @Lazarusthefishboy
      @Lazarusthefishboy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah, definitely! Turns out though the Monte Carlo I've been claiming to have was Pearlweed all along, so note fully experienced with it now, but I'm sure it is! Thanks for watching mate!

    • @IndoorEcosystem
      @IndoorEcosystem 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@ALEX-dm6su I've only had one bad melt but enough survived to come back strong. I find dry start for 6 weeks is the best method to use. Less melt and way less problems with it floating up.

    Awesome video laz! That's a great top 10 list you have there mate. Tbh I think the cryptocorynes are probably the best carpeting plants I've ever tried. But all down to personal preference. Thanks for sharing mate 😊

    Great video, Lazarus! Pearlweed is one of my faves too. It really is super versatile and great for a lot of areas in the tank as you mentioned, and very easy to trim and replant the tops. Good tips on substrate, too! 🙂👍

      @Lazarusthefishboy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Cheers Tara! I'm absolutely loving my Pearlweed, it truly grows like a weed, but that's not a bad thing in my opinion. Thanks for watching Tara! Have a good one!

    Thoughts on controsoil small for carpet? And flourish root tabs?

    • @Lazarusthefishboy
      @Lazarusthefishboy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alright, so I've never used controsoil before, but I've heard great reviews about it and seen successful carpets grown with it before. And the seachem flourish root tabs I've used before in the albino krib tank. Plants are growing great in there so I reckon they're great root tabs. Probably better than API's tbh

      @@Lazarusthefishboy oo ty! Yea i saw a video on youtube testing different tabs and the flourish went good but i have a few different tabs i can use anyway, wanted to go a bit easy on the heavy nutrient ones lol

    do you have tutorial video of that right tank? with long stem plant?

    • @Lazarusthefishboy
      @Lazarusthefishboy  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry, not really. All you can see from that distance tho is vallisneria, and it's basically grown all over the tank, that's it. There's videos on all the other tanks though 😉

    Broad leaves chainsword? Pigmy chainsword? There's a reason why people would use the Latin names, even if it sounds tricky at first, because general public names change from country to country and I have no idea what plants you referred to... Oh, btw English isn't my native language nor the language spoken in the country I live in but although not perfect, my English is not too bad is it? Learning the Latin names of fish and plants is similar to learning a foreign language. It's not that difficult, especially when it's about a hobby you love. If I did surely you can too 😉

    • @Lazarusthefishboy
      @Lazarusthefishboy  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Ay, yeah sorry about that! I'm more than happy learning latin names, it's not hard for me at all. The names of the broad and pygmy chain swords I was just describing as how they were labelled and sold to me. But I should've put in the effort to learn and include the latin names so it's easier. Your english is great by the way! Wouldn't know it's not your first language, so great job! Thanks for pointing the issue out and will note down for future videos.
