I think a season she either have a top 2 or double save, not both, top 2s make more sense imo, but double saves can add to certain queen's storyline, i.e. Yvie and Brooke or Kandy and Symone
And it's not like we can't have bottom 3/4 later on. Or major Lalaparuza where multiple girls get cut. Or just cutting the weakest girls before the finale. Like the episode count shouldn't be a limit here. Even better - seasons are already obnoxiously long - just cast less girls and have more safe episodes. And if cast isn't as strong - just cut it down to top 2 for the finale/have extra episode for eliminated girls to compete for price money/have special episode just about the finalists with no elimination.

S13 - Phenomenon. The "worst" one was Kahmora, yet she had tbe best runway and it's memorable. Everyone else did great/amazing UK4 - Lairy Poppins. The fact that LE FIL was LOW was a travesty. S5 - Perfum commercials. Ivy was CLEARLY terrible. Alyssa's and Coco's are so iconic and Roxxxy's was OK. Alaska, Jinkx and Detox SLAYED
FYI, I believe the instrument Trixie played on her talent show is called an autoharp. A harpsichord is basically like a piano (but instead of striking the strings, the strings are plucked).
For me one of those episodes is Prom from Canada DR Season 2 Yes, Adriana and Icesis outfits didn't really match with their partners, but they still served and did well. Also no one going home would add so much to the feel-good vibe of this episode
For an international season pick, I think the Talent Show from España s2 could've been a non elim. Literally everyone did decent at worst to some of the best talent performances in the franchise like Diamante, Sethlas, or Juriji (Madre) That and everyone brought S-Tier levels of runways for that episode too. Probably my favorite runway of all time
For sure, even Samantha Ballentines who was a bit of a mess the whole episode would have easily been safe on Season 14 or 15, and almost everyone else would have won or been in the top

I would add "Catwalk" from S 14. Lady Camden and Daya Betty DEVOURED that episode, they should've been the Top2 (maybe they didn't do it because both queens were Top 2 on Daytona Winds). Also, nobody flopped. You could say Bosco was the weakest (but she wasn't even in the bottom). The fact that Angeria and Willow were in the bottom was criminal

I honestly didn't know how they were going to pick a bottom 2. I didn't honestly think Scarlett was that bad and even Raja wasn't bad, just not a stand out. Everyone gave face (especially Nina West!) and I didn't see anyone mess up the choreo I don't recall. (Even when Yvie slipped she didn't break stride and didn't make it obvious that she had injured herself.)

April and Trinity were in the bottom for just not being as good as everyone else, much like with "Wigloose" Indeed the rusicals usually are overall very strong performance-wise. The bottoms are often at worst mid.
I would add Shade: The Rusical to this list. I’ve been doing musical theater my whole life and I will die on the hill that no one did bad in this challenge! The critiques that landed April and Trinity in the bottom were bs and a top two lip sync with Adore and Courtney would have been awesome!
The fact that S12 has the most challenges on this list TRULY SHOWS they have the best cast in history So sad what will happen with Heidi but Jaida for me was 4th best on the hardest season and became the biggest fan faves with Raja and Jinkx that season Widow will kill whatever all stars they put her in and Gigi, Crystal and Jackie are all stars Heidi best be lined up for UK Vs The World 3 The ONLY Casts that rival S12- regular seasons only but international included- S6, S9, UK2 and UK4 (imo UK4’s cast is SO UNDERRATED only Just May was filler and if they kept Baby longer and didn’t bully her out I truly think she could have rivalled Danny and Cheddar- Baby slaughtered the first 3 episodes facts are facts)
S14 also gave me the impression no one was filler (except maybe Orion), I was shocked to see June and Alyssa leave so early. This is funny because it is also the only season where no queen convinced me they deserved to win and I ended up rooting for Daya Betty for the drama.
I would definitely add UK4's Rusical to this list!! I guess it worked out because Baby quit and no one was really eliminated, but all the girls did so well, I really thought it was gonna be a Top 2 lip sync that week.
I really enjoy top 2 episodes as well because you get to see the lipsyncing queens at their BEST, they’re happy and excited to lipsync, they want to win, it’s just like a great cherry on top to episodes where everyone was already awesome and the vibes of the episode were fantastic.
For those who watched DRPH - I think “Pop Off Ate” falls nicely into this category. Sure, one song and performance was a clear winner, but both versions of the song and both performances were really good. It would’ve been nice I think to have had the best performer on each group win and do a top 2 lip sync.
I feel like it should be established that I’m pretty sure the only reason the “you all did good so no one is leaving” is because both times it happened were in seasons where someone had to leave medically (Victoria & Kornbread) so they had to do something to keep the episode count up to what they had planned

I feel like the reason these werent Top 2 epispodes instead of elimination episodes is because the broadcasting company buys a certain amount of episodes in advance for the season. After that they probably plan out how many saves and elims will happen well in advance. It sucks when there should have been a double save and there wasnt (i.e. Marcia v Anetra) but they couldnt due to MTV purchasing only a certain amount of episodes.

One of the SNEAKS i needed to say is rusical from thailand 2. Fr. All the queens was so professional (or at least just good) in this episode. Overall, i think people need talk a lil more about thailand franchise, especially thailand 2 season... It was literally so good and one of the seasons i literally LOVED.
About the video it's not very connected but I feel like talent shows shouldn't have bottoms I fee like that's saying "theese girls talents are better than you your talent is trash and you're being punished for the best thing you do"
They're also at the beginning but I think they should have an elimination the first episode so we know who's who and we can connect with the queen. Yk what I mean lol
Lairy Poppins, UK4, is my #1. Best rusical of all time in my opinion, 10/10 runway too. Not to mention that lipsync was fully a double shantay. I think if it was a non elimination episode and everybody got praised Baby **may** have chosen to stay an episode or two longer which we all would have loved to see.
As much as I'd love more Top 2 episodes, there's just so many factors going on other than just contestant performance. There's budget, there's contracted episodes, there's making sure the live finale doesn't happen way before the season finishes airing (yes, S14 finale happened before the final filmed episode but only by a couple days). You could say WOW was like "oh we'll just always contract enough episodes to have a spare Top 2 in our back pocket." But then what if there isn't a Top 2 worthy episode? WOW was paid for an episode so they have to deliver an episode. Do they turn it into a double shantay? What if the lip-sync wasn't double shantay worthy? I'm not saying that seeing Wigloose and thinking it should have just had a Top 2 is a bad thing or not justified, I agree that in a perfect world it would've been a top 2. I haven't seen anyone legitimately upset it wasn't a top 2 but in the future we should remember that there's a lot of production stuff other than storylines that influence episode outcome. Something to think about for Top 2 episodes with no eliminations is why did they happen? In S14, bc Kornbread broke her ankle (RIP Ankle), we lost two queens in one episode. The season was slated for a certain amount of episodes so now they have to change an episode so that no one goes home. Keep the videos coming and keep sleuthing, Der!
I understand it as an episoding ordering issue. Dont they order a set amount of episodes, which limits the amount of non-elimination episodes they can have? And this current season had the bighest cast too
I just watched season 12 for the first time, and girl… this season was amazing, literally all the girls would do amazing, I would genuinely be shocked with the bottom 2
wigloose has to be my favorite rusical of all time - not just solely for the performances, but also for the MESSAGE! idk a more fitting challenge for these horrible times we are living through; and this challenge for sure hit right where it needed to. could u argue that there are better performances in other rusicals? yeah! but NONE compare to the story and message of wigloose.

Season 12 was one of the hardest seasons to watch because literally every single person was slaying their challenges yet someone always had to go home
We need Top 2 episodes to be as normalized as Double Shantays, they are very fun and sometimes the queens simply deserve to be safe

One of the SNEAKS i needed to say is rusical from thailand 2. Fr. All the queens was so professional (or at least just good) in this episode. Overall, i think people need talk a lil more about thailand franchise, especially thailand 2 season... It was literally so good and one of the seasons i literally LOVED.

Season 6 Shade the rusical. I didn't think anyone was terrible.
Lairy Poppins, UK4, is my #1. Best rusical of all time in my opinion, 10/10 runway too. Not to mention that lipsync was fully a double shantay. I think if it was a non elimination episode and everybody got praised Baby **may** have chosen to stay an episode or two longer which we all would have loved to see.

As much as I'd love more Top 2 episodes, there's just so many factors going on other than just contestant performance. There's budget, there's contracted episodes, there's making sure the live finale doesn't happen way before the season finishes airing (yes, S14 finale happened before the final filmed episode but only by a couple days).
You could say WOW was like "oh we'll just always contract enough episodes to have a spare Top 2 in our back pocket." But then what if there isn't a Top 2 worthy episode? WOW was paid for an episode so they have to deliver an episode. Do they turn it into a double shantay? What if the lip-sync wasn't double shantay worthy?
I'm not saying that seeing Wigloose and thinking it should have just had a Top 2 is a bad thing or not justified, I agree that in a perfect world it would've been a top 2. I haven't seen anyone legitimately upset it wasn't a top 2 but in the future we should remember that there's a lot of production stuff other than storylines that influence episode outcome.
Something to think about for Top 2 episodes with no eliminations is why did they happen? In S14, bc Kornbread broke her ankle (RIP Ankle), we lost two queens in one episode. The season was slated for a certain amount of episodes so now they have to change an episode so that no one goes home.

wigloose has to be my favorite rusical of all time - not just solely for the performances, but also for the MESSAGE! idk a more fitting challenge for these horrible times we are living through; and this challenge for sure hit right where it needed to. could u argue that there are better performances in other rusicals? yeah! but NONE compare to the story and message of wigloose.
