Can you imagine a UHD remaster of this game on next gen (2020) consoles, with orchestral music. The frustrating thing is this is completely possible and would also sell well (just look at Spyro, Crash remakes etc). It doesn't even matter that the original staff aren't there because the assets are there already. It just needs upping the graphics and orchestrating the music.

Point is, these companies and the corporate businessmen who own them don't necessarily know what gamers want. Many people like you said the same for games like Spyro, but they took a risk and remastered them and they've sold MILLIONS. If a Spyro remaster can sell millions then I'm in no doubt at all that a Banjo remaster wouldn't achieve at least the same.
