Day 5: Banjo-Kazooie: Gruntilda's Lair - Animated VGM Challenge

For those unaware, there is a challenge that's going on on twitter called VGM Challenge where you're supposed to name do covers from a game each day depending the theme, and I'll be doing a cover every day with little animations to go along to make up for the lack of animated covers this year!
After I did the Banjo-Kazooie animation two years back, I've had a hard time to figure out how I wanted to make a sequel for it considering there are so many fantastic tracks from this wonderful game. With this challenge I figured that Gruntilda's Lair was a very fitting choice for this, plus a great excuse to experiment with instrumentation! That and as I was whistling this tune to myself my stepdad told me it reminded me of The Sorcerer's Apprentice, so that helped making that decision!

One could argue that it was the best Mascot Platformer of all time. I mean other than the "Proper" main series Mario games the genera is pretty much extinct now, though now the millennials who grew up on them are entering their 30s there appears to be a bit of a renaissance.

One thing I always found charming is that in kazooie, you can hear snickering in the background of the song, but in tooie, it’s gone. This implies that grunty was laughing at you in kazooie!
