there was a case where a girl in high school was looking for a dogsitting job because she liked animals. she went in for the interview, everything went fine, the dogs were ok, the owners were ok with her, etc. she went back to the house a few days later to start her shift, and when she went in, the dogs, for whatever reason, perceived it as a threat, and mauled her. she had her entire face ripped off, ears off, and was pretty much unrecognizable when the cops showed up. there was so much blood they thought she had died. apparently the dogs were known to be vicious but they were calm during the initial meeting and the owners also didn't bother telling her about the dogs' histories. after the incident went public, the owners still wouldn't even apologize for what happened. imagine being a kid and having your entire life fucked because people don't want to train their animals or be responsible in disclosing potentially hazardous work environments. shitty situation all around

What annoys me here is that the neighbour even said they reported the dogs. That probably means no one ever showed up, because if they did, it would take one look to know that those dogs needed to be taken and eventually re-homed. Shame. Horrible situation, avoidable as well.

When I was a kid, I got attacked by a Doberman Pinscher who was trained to attack. Luckily, I was in a parking lot and I jumped up on the nearest car. I was just walking past this guy and his dog and that's when the dog saw me, broke loose from the owner's grip and all I saw was a mouth full of teeth in my face. I only got some scratches from his claws on my left arm. I was at my dad's work and he had a huge window and could see it and hear me scream. He came flying out to check on me. Of course, nothing bad, just more scared. He threatened the guy that if he didn't get ahold of his dog he'd break its neck. The ironic thing though was the guy was there to go to an appointment to have his dog to be de-trained. For a long while I was afraid of any dogs, even tiny ones but I eventually got over it.

Here in the U.S. usually in cases like this where the dog is not attacking, the local animal shelter would take custody of the dogs. Then they would be evaluated and put down if it's found to be rabid and or has eaten someone. If there was a non lethal attack, sometimes dog rescue organizations may take them to try to rehabilitate them. Sadly the dogs who were eating the woman had to be put down.

You just have to pay attention. Ive never feared a dog. Even when 2 rotts got out one day and ppl are screaming at me to watch out. I simply calmed the dogs down and showed no anxiousness or nervousness. Ive had st bernards, pitbulls, collies, aussies, pekinese, shitzu, rotts, beagles and labs of my own. None were vicious. That's why you should never own dog with a nasty disposition. Secondly, never enter a home by yourself without the homeowner present when there is dog with a nasty rep unless that dog rally knows who you are. I don't what condition the dogs were in when she got there, but it is somewhat clear that these people weren't taken care of the dogs. One thing I did learn about dogs, if you want to make a first impression on a dog, bring him some food(treats) when you meet them or when the owner fixes their food you give to them. To a dog, it's a sign of caring and friendship.

Only time she ever got aggressive was when I was arguing with a friend about something dumb and we got to shouting alittle and she growled at him and I told her to lay down and she stopped. That and the time a friend got attacked by a stranger who was obviously high on something. Got her to bite him once so he would go away and then called the police and let them know what happened. I've lived with dogs for most of my life. I raise and train my own GSDs, and they are notorious locally for their excellent temper and manners. I'm not an expert by any means, but I am experienced. Here's the thing about dogs: You have to be god in their eyes, or they will try you. That's just how they are. If you can't be that god, you can't raise up a dog to be safe and mannerly. And everybody has limits. Basically, even for a healthy, sane, fit man: one dog is easy, two can be a challenge, three is work, and four is your ass. It is literally impossible for one person to keep track and control of more than three dogs at once if they decide to try you.
Given that understanding: these people created a disastrous situation. Too many dogs for the property, their available resources, and their capabilities as trainers. Two would have been too many, and even one might have been too many.

Rachel Ray's pit tore another dog's ear off, and if anyone spoils their dogs, it's Rachel. They've killed their owners, strangers, family members, infants, old people, whatever, but too many idiots still say it's the owner's fault. It's the owner's fault when they run loose, but that's some bottom feeding shit for a dog.

Did u see the front porch? That's either a squatters, drug or ill person's home. It would be red tagged for sure.

Also dog aggression is completely different than dog aggression… tbh it sounds like you know very little about dogs. (No offense intended… genuinely)

Dogs only dislike sketchy ppl man…You give off that sketchy vibe by being nervous. Theres not a soul thats as loyal as a dog. No woman can compete w a dog in terms of loyalty.

Seek therapy. Those aren’t normal thoughts to have much less publicly admit.
