I always loved the J-Type Nubian yacht. It looks cool, incredibly elegant and its in universe tech specifications are also really good.
Empire's Lambda shuttle is also really good looking and its 3 fins make it look like some bird. And finally the CIS's Steathipede shuttle is also quite good looking but the legs look quite unstable.

Same, such a beautiful ship. I loved it so much, when I was inspired to write my own bounty hunter story after watching the Mandalorian. I had my character use a highly modified J-Type Nubian Naboo Royal Starship. With a class 0.5 hyperdrive, shields derived from Mon Calamari cruisers, and several different laser weapons systems. She's an absolute beast.

How to identify Star Wars Diplomatic vessels.
    Armed to the teeth?
    Heavy shielding?
    Propelled by multiple large engines?
    Freighter sized or smaller?
    Advanced Hyperdrive?
    Made out of special material?
Painted in political colors like white, blue and/or red?
If a vessel checks out more then 4 of these requirements it is political vessel.

You missed a very important vessel - the GX-1 Lantillian Shuttle (Diplomatic Version)
This class even has 2 named diplomatic vessels - the Phoenix and Valorous (both featured in the Clone Wars series)
It is a relatively small ship but has a small hyperdrive capable escape pod, actual living space inside (beds, meeting room and kitchen included) and long range. It is the optimal vessel for diplomats who plan to go on a longer tour - and still relatively cheap.

5:13 "ship was also jam packed with latest technology and weapons"
What weapons? The N1 starfighters glued to the wings during longer trips?
J-type diplomatic barge wasn't armed at all.

You might want to do a video on the Rise of the Resistance I-TS (Intersystem Transport Ship), used for the Rise of the Resistance Ride in Disneyworld and Disneyland. Really cool ship. It looks like a miniature C-90 Corvette with U-Wing engines instead :-)

Kuat, Corellia, Mon Cala, and Fondor are among a few of the biggest shipyards in the galaxy, although there are many other producers- for example, Starfighter maker Incom was the designer of the X-Wing, and I believe also it's predecessor, the ARC-170. The extended universe has a fairly large amount of lore about how starships are made and the military-industrial complex of the star wars galaxy.

How did a star destroyer catchup to the cr-90? Its like a battleship running down a speed boat.

  • @TheThingInMySink
    @TheThingInMySink 3 ปีที่แล้ว

You don't really need or necessarily want guns on a diplomatic ship, other countermeasures are going to be much more valuable because you never want to take the risks involved in naval combat if there's a valuable person on board, that's what you should have an escort for, the CR-90 is good at being a diplomatic vessel but the guns are going to be useless for the most part, guns are also not something I'd take on a mission of peace, having guns on your ship does send a pretty clear message, whether it's intentional or not. That's why the Republic Cruiser and the Naboo ships are my favourites, the Republic cruiser in the beautiful red paintjob is elegant enough, but the Naboo ships are the epitome of grace and beauty, a good way to show status without having to pack any artillery. Of course there are reasons to show up armed, if you're trying to pressure someone into a peace agreement for instance, but in that case you'd probably want to turn up with an actual warship, and a decent sized escort as a show of strength.

Give me a "Modified" (i.e. Armed) J-Type and you'll have a Great Smuggling Vessel or Bounty Hunter Ship.
Recessed and Retractable Weapons, plus Brigs and Force Cells, and it's a Go.
