To me, it's like a prison!!!!
Thanks Britt, so glad you liked this. I was so taken with this part of Scotland and I really can't wait to go back. Have a great weekend & thanks for commenting 😀
Hi Gary, yes it's a spectacularly unspoilt and beautiful part of Scotland. I was blown away by the beauty of the area and can't wait to go back. Thanks for commenting. Best wishes, David :-)
Thanks Ellen, I will definitely be back. It's such a special place and always makes me feel at peace. I have a video of the Happy Farm and Mingary Castle restaurant still to edit which I hope to have out soon. Thanks for watching and have a lovely weekend. All the best, David 🙂@@ellenkammerath5987
So glad you had the chance to visit. It's a very special place and I'm looking forward to revisiting in safer, happier times. Thanks for commenting. Best wishes, David
Catch-up here David. Great views. When I was at Sanna beach it was full of cows! The big pregnant one mooed at me so loud, the big fella came and had a look. I found the cows and sheep funny. Really loved it and Portuark (? spelling) bay was pretty. I actually saw a mink near there. Its remoteness is the sheer beauty of the place, a great place for photography. You get a load of green and then a splash of yellow of flag iris. Just stunning.
Hi Janet, apologies for the delay in replying. So glad you've visited this gorgeous place. It sounds like the cows had taken over the beach! That's amazing that you saw a Minke whale. You do see whales from time to time around the coast and it's always a special sight. I'm a huge fan of the peace and quiet at Sanna Bay. It's a very remote and special place and I'm hoping to go back very soon to discover more of the peninsula and do a bit more photography. Thanks for commenting. All the best, David :-)
As of today in the US, in our state of Georgia, we have been told to shelter in place for the next two weeks. Your videos will be on constantly helping us through this time. We appreciate you and your work more than you’ll ever know my friend!!! Please keep up your superb work!,,
Thank you so much for sharing this. I've been visiting Ardnamurchan since I was a teen, mostly in Kentra Bay, now nearly 50 and desperate to move up there, your footage has made me cry so much (gonna have to have a pint of water 💧 to rehydrate). I'm back up in 12 days to Glenborodale for a week, I'll try and do a video like yours and I'll post it for you to see x
So glad you enjoyed it. I love this part of the world and can't wait to go back too. It's very special and I can see why you want to move there. Hope you enjoy your visit to Glenborodale and thanks for commenting, I really appreciate it. Best wishes, David :-)
Hope you enjoy this latest video of my trip to the amazing Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the West Scottish Highlands last year. It was my first visit and I can't wait to return. I don't believe in fairies, but if they were to exist in Scotland, I'm pretty certain you'd find them here dancing around the ancient trees. There's a magical quality and mystery to these remote, uninhabited lands which you can only feel if you visit. If you've got any questions about visiting, please don't hesitate to ask. If you do visit, don't forget to leave this amazingly special place in exactly the same way you found it.
David, I've fallen behind with my viewing but will be looking in more after the holidays. Best wishes to your and your family for a lovely Christmas and healthy New Year.
Thank you for sharing this beautiful video! We plan to visit Ardnamurchan next year. We will have one day to do a lot of touring/driving. Where will our best options to get gas for our car?
Thanks so much Carla, so glad you enjoyed it. You won’t have any trouble with petrol. Fill up in Edinburgh or Glasgow and you can refill in Glencoe Village and in Strontian when you’re in Ardmamurchan. When you’re touring the remote highlands I generally never let my tank get lower than a third full. I’ve never run out! Hope you have a lovely time. It’s a very special part of the world. All the best, David
Hi Carla, I have a five part series of Caithness & Sutherland, in the far north of Scotland, which will show you that part of the world. Here’s a link to the first video - th-cam.com/video/5NdbcpRku9w/w-d-xo.html . This is my favourite part of Scotland. I’m so glad you’re visiting because there’s a tremendous sense of peace and spirituality that I don’t think you get in many other parts of Scotland. If you have any questions after watching my five part series just let me know. Have a wonderful time. Best wishes, David
Hi Julie, thanks so much for commenting and I'm really glad you enjoyed the video. It was such a long time ago that I can't remember much about the music, but I'll try and find out when I'm back on my computer. Thanks again, best wishes, David :-)
Hi Rod, thanks so much for your very kind words. I very much appreciate the support. It takes a lot of time to do the videos and kind comments like yours really keep me going. Best wishes, David :-)
