  • Sorry for the quality, I don't have any film making equipment or experience, so this was just all recorded on my phone. I also, for some reason, referred to my spanner as a wrench (I recorded the audio late at night so forgive me)
    I'll record soon some videos for windshield and rear luggage rack installation

    Greeat stuff mate.
    Getting the classic myself and a sump guard will be an early purchase not sure which colour ( black or silver) being on a Red and Chrome bike.
    Probably silver.
    But either way what ever the model these little 350 single potters are brilliantly simple reliable units with mountains of soul.
    Something very few modern bikes have.

    I have the small engine guard already on the motorbike but I think they can work together since there seems to be enough room on the bolt. Only, the RE people put the long bolt in from the different direction so now I cant get it out because of the exhaust pipe :'). Think I'll just have them do it instead of detaching an exhaust pipe without any experience. Nice videos though, keep up the good work.

    My instructions said to remove the washer on the back bolt. I also had to bend the horn bracket so the horn wouldn’t hit the sump guard and not work.

      Did you purchase an OEM guard or a aftermarket design one? I did see on eBay a few offerings of guards that were basically the same design, but were not the royal enfield OEM guard, and they may have slightly different instructions or dimensions.
      I did not have to remove any washers, and I had no interference between the guard and the horn

      I've had no issues with it. When installed correctly I've had no vibration noises or rattling, and riding on gravel its had no holes or dents. It's mild steel I think, and not too thin. Definately offeres the protection as advertised. Better than having a rock crack the brittle cast sump if you do any riding over gravel.

    Thank you for the video , how’s the 350 going ? . Im looking at smaller cc bikes now , they either look like a “ student art house designed “ Pokémon or costing a house deposit . The Royal Enfield is sitting perfectly in price and classic 1960/70 looks .

      It's going well. I am in the second stage of run-in period now and have done the first major service. The engine and gearbox are noticeably smoother so I'm only enjoying the bike more as I ride it more.
      The hunter is in a good position for price and timeless styling. I have enjoyed riding a friends kawasaki 400, but for me I wanted this bike (5th bike I've owned) to be my 'last' bike, so I purchased first hand and intend to keep for 30 years.
      If price is an issue I would definately consider the second hand market for perhaps the classic 500? But I think the J series 350 engine is a real gem , so any of the meteor/classic/hunter is a good long term investment for relatively cheap

    • @MrCombfoot
      @MrCombfoot  ปีที่แล้ว

      No, this bike is a modern electric start only. But it is a very good cold starter, even mid winter on a cold morning (Australian cold anyway) I get instant start.

      I searched 'royal enfield sump guard' on eBay Australia, and I think the seller was called 'royal rider' or some such. As for any other costs I couldn't say as they would be dependent on your country.
      I would suggest searching on eBay and selecting whichever option is cheapest cost + shipping, as a number of sellers sell the same product and have sales and discounts at different times.. The OEM sump guard is usually pictured with it's royal enfield box, but check the description as well. I do not personally sell the part or endorse any particular seller, so make sure to read the reviews!

      I purchased from -royal-rider' on eBay. They offered a number of combinations of accessories that were a good deal, I bought my sump guard and windshield as a 2 piece deal for 165AUD shipped. I am not affiliated with this seller in any way though, I just know I did get what I ordered and about 1/3 the price of ordering the parts from royal enfiled Australia.

    Hi I was wondering if you can share the address of your supplier from India. It seems to be good stuff and you do a great job. Many thanks and kind regards Marco

      I purchased from the seller royal-rider on ebay. I am not affiliated with them and I'm not guaranteeing your own experience, but all the genuine parts I ordered from them were at a good price and were the correct item. They seem to often have multiple listing for the same item at different prices. I'd recommend searching for the item you want before locking in the seller just in case.

    Don't you just hate people with neat and clean garages more so when they must have a cocktail bar and a pianist in the other corner. Very good video though. Did I see a luggage rack on the bench?

    • @MrCombfoot
      @MrCombfoot  ปีที่แล้ว

      yup, I'll put up a video for my install of that too shortly. Its not an OEM part though, royal enfield do not currently make a rear luggage rack for the hunter 350.
