Honestly, anything could be an improvement from last season gameplay wise. The lore and story of last season was terrific though. This season raises the gameplay by several levels.

I've got a pretty good roll on this, Killing Wind/Rampage with a stability masterwork. I gain immense satisfaction killing shotgun apes and campers with a double primary loadout (Dead Man's Tale pairs perfectly with Brass Attacks).

Now they need to tune/ modernize light subclasses, address the problems with sunsetting ASAP, and I'd like to see them introduce more catalysts for existing weapons.
