if you have an old phone laying around, you can keep it in your purse for scanning items at walmart. You can use their wifi (don't need service on the phone). If it's charged up and can take the walmart app, you're in business. A small / older phone won't take up much room in your purse, and then you'll have an extra for scanning.

I never find good deals like that . Except for one time, they had DVD players on sale for 15 dollars and they were scanning 5 or 6 dollars. Another time their was a toy on clearance but the packaging was messed up so I asked the manager if she could discount it more since it was going to be a Christmas present and she took a few more dollars off.

Every time I go to designated clearance area at my Walmart and see a lot of items from one specific department, I would go to that department and found some more hidden sale/clearance by scanning! Another thing, I also scan the products on the endcaps as well. Yes, its a hit and miss but there will be hidden sale/clearance on them.
Just a tip. If anyone is looking for a specific item from a department just go to clearance aisle/section to see a recurring theme. I could be wrong but also consider that it could vary from location to location.
