@@AzayBae its confirmed that she does. Before she fights she lays an egg and if she dies she gets reincarnated into that egg with all her memories and experiences. Over time this has basically made her unafraid of death so now she takes high risk high reward attacks if she thinks she can take down what she is fighting. No hesitation. Tbh I didn’t find Mothra underused or inconsequential in this movie. I think she was handled just as good as Godzilla, Ghidorah and Rodan and that she had a pretty important role in the movie despite her limited screentime. After all it was thanks to her that Monarch found out that Godzilla was still alive, still thanks to her that they found the way to find him and always thanks to her that Godzilla was able to win considering that if she didn’t sacrifice her life to give her energy to Godzilla to transform him in Burning Godzilla he would have lost.

Mothra sacrificed herself to imbue Godzilla with the power to survive going nuclear and using the necessary energy Ghidorah, without dying, himself.. She knew the energy needed to kill Ghidorah would also kill Godzilla, otherwise.. She also knows that Godzilla's survival is critical to the world balance.. If Godzilla died, the other Titans would destroy the planet in all out, never ending war for dominance.... When Godzilla goes nuclear, you can hear Mothra's call in the explosion.. A key detail that casual viewers totally miss.. They also miss the key importance of when it was said that Godzilla and Mothra have a symbiotic relationship.... The writers put it all out there, but too many people didn't pay attention.

He obsessed over them to the point he used wasps to give Mothra more power compared to when she first came out. He added more meaning to her since this was meant to be a sacrifice that was gonna be painful for ages. That was actually a debut to Rodan sacrificing his body for Gojira against Mechagodzilla aka where Goji learned the searing red blasts. She did the same.

Uhm, the best part is Mothras Song from Yuji Koseki from 1961 long before "Monster Verse". Using it is extremly smart pointing to the roots and for old f?cks like me that whatched those old flicks a greaat journey on the memory train.
I'm listening to this again because i just finished watching the Mothra Trilogy from the Heisei Era. It was pretty OKAY, but at least it handled Mothra much better than KOTM.

She has a son named Leo and he saw his mothra die before he became a full-grown moth... he took the spotlight and goddamn this guy is more powerful than his mother He was helpless as a larva but became a warrior of a moth, forever immortal Hopefully Him and battra will return to the big screen someday.. who knows maybe they'll get a cameo in the new godzilla show series. If Titanus mothra gets a solo film, they should bring battra as an anti-villain and maybe larva leo as a support to mothra to fight battra midway then become a full-grown moth to fight along side with Mothra and battra against a kaiju that is the actual villain. In the credits you see a newspaper saying another egg was found and I think the director said she is sort of like a reincarnate.
