reditt user post: Don’t upgrade your ram without replacing the stock ram if you have a 15irx9! Your laptop could face the same issue with people who’ve had motherboard issues from the past. If you do not want to experience the motherboard death issue circulating recently on hx cpus I suggest if you’re going to upgrade your ram, buy 2 gb ram sticks of the same brand and replace the stock ram to prevent ram conflict, and a potential motherboard death that is currently occuring on hx cpus. Also yes, it is better to buy 2 ram sticks and install them rather than just a single 16gb ram and removing the 8gb stock ram. This wpuld enable dual channel frequency giving performance boost for your 1% lows fps (this lessens/prevents frame drops that may occur while gaming/heavy load tasks) In terms of storage, some reddit user was able to install 4TB of storage on his loq, proving that it can support up to 4tb of storage, that is if you have the capability to find and buy one on the market. (The 1tb cap you see on lenovo’s spec sheet website is the cap that comes with the laptops that they sell on the market, it’s not a cap that limits the laptop’s storage capability, so you’re good to go if you’ll be upgrading your ssds to 2tb) Usually you can find only up to 2tb of storage on the market, you’d be fortunate enough if you found a 4tb storage and the budget to buy one. Also, to give you knowledge, the numbers you see on ssds such as 2280 or 2242 are just ssd sizes. When you look over the lenovo spec sheet the storage slot can go up to 2 m.2 2280 this means that both loq’s storage slots can support or fit ssds that doesn’t exceed or is less than 22x80. Therefore 22x42 is also compatible. The one installed or pre-installed in your laptop is an m.2 22x42 ssd, you may remove it, and replace it with an m.2 2280 ssd since both storage slots can fully support that size. Hope this helps!! Happy gaming bruv! edit: i have the same laptop model as yours, and ever since i upgraded my ram, and installed 2x8 fury ram, it has improved performance, and i no longer get a memory error on maxing out graphics when playing ghost of tsushuma. 16gb 4800mhz is the ideal ram you should pick since, the maximum capacity of frequency the 13450hx cpu can support is only up to 4800mhz regardless if you buy 5600hz or above it will only cap up to 4800mhz. so i suggest buying only 4800mhz to save money and also to maximize your performance.

If your laptop has 2 slots for SSD, and one slot already has a 512GB SSD, you can install a new 1TB SSD in the extra slot and use both. If you remove the pre inserted 512GB, then the Windows OS installed in your system will also go with it.
If you have Lenovo LOQ, then the interior of your laptop will be exactly the same. Follow the guide which I have shown step by step. You will be able to install additional SSD
The safest way is to disconnect manually. It leaves no chance for error. BIOS switch might not be completely reliable and you should try it at your own risk.

@@traveltechyoutube Actually, Lenovo guys told only 1TB can be upgraded. Thats why I am asking bro. If I upgrade and if something happens these guys will sue me
For i5 they have provided 1TB as upper limit. In theory you can upgrade to 2TB but it will be at your own risk. Unless you really understand and know what you are doing, I recommend you stick to 1TB upgrade and keep the system under recommended conditions, so that any issues faced in future will have Lenovo support

You cut the video at the point where the battery cable is pulled. How do you disconnect the wires.
Wires are not disconnected. Wires come out along with the 'plug' which you pull out holding both sides.
